Bloomington Gold Returns to Worldwide Technology Raceway

There is no disputing the simple fact that the Chevrolet Corvette is America's favorite sports car. But is it a sports car or a Muscle Car? Well...as far as we are concerned it can certainly be either, and in fact the C8's are more of a Supercar! And if you are a fan or owner of a Corvette of any generation, you know the passion and enthusiasm that the Corvette community shares.

So this week the annual Bloomington Gold event returns to the Worldwide Technology Raceway near St. Louis. If you want to see some of the finest Corvettes of every generation, this is the place to be. And of course, obtaining Bloomington Gold certification, which is sponsored by Corvette Central, is a prerequisite for obtaining MCACN Triple Diamond certification!

What they offer is one of the most coveted awards in the Corvette world, commonly referred to as Bloomington Gold certification. So what exactly is Gold Certification? Here is an explanation, direct from the Bloomington Gold website; One of the most recognized ways to establish authenticity is through a comprehensive judging process, such as Bloomington Gold’s Gold Standard Judging®. At Bloomington Gold, each Corvette is carefully evaluated across four key areas: exterior, interior, chassis, and engine compartment. In addition, fundamental components such as manufacturer tags, VIN, and trim identification are reviewed to confirm originality. And this is just one of the key areas that make the Bloomington Gold event something special.

In addition to their judging, this event also offers the Gold Collection, this year devoted to the good old Red, White and Blue with a variety of outstanding Red, White and Blue Corvettes, the Road Tour, Presented by Mid America Corvette, and even an opportunity to drive the big oval, which is also the home of NASCAR and Indy races. Add in the swap meet, additional indoor and outdoor vendors, the Gold Gala Thursday night and you have a recipe for a whole lot of fun. And of course, all kinds of Corvettes from daily drivers to Benchmark and Survivors.
Bloomington Gold takes place June 11-13, and our own Judging Supervisor Bill Braun will be there representing the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals.
