Hello Modeler Car Builders!
We are happy to announce that we are again joining forces with the C.A.R.S. In Miniature group and Revell Models to host our Second Annual Model Car Contest at the FNBNY Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals show, November 19-20, 2011
Our show is the world’s largest all indoor specialty show devoted to the countrys best and rarest Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars, (think Yenko, Mr. Norm’s and Nickey) and Corvettes, held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. In 2010, we had over 500 cars on display along with nearly 200 automotive vendor spots, and we launched our very first Model Car Contest. The C.A.R.S. In Miniature group ran this “show within a show” for us and it was an instant success. For 2011, we are geared up for an even bigger and better contest.
Trophies will be awarded in several categories for kids 12 and under, Senior category, (age 13-17) and Adults. We will also have classes for diorama’s and various other entrants. Kids will receive a FREE model car kit just for entering and best of all, contest entry for everyone is totally FREE with your paid admission. Bring as many models as you like and join in the fun!
In addition to the contest, we will also be hosting the Revell Models “Make and Take” which introduces our great hobby to the younger generation. C.A.R.S. In Miniature members will be on hand to assist the kids in building their models and when they are done, they can take them home. This is also FREE, compliments of Revell Models.
