1969 Hurst/Olds Convertible
2012 MCACN First Time Shown
To Be Unveiled at MCACN 2012
1969
HURST/OLDS CONVERTIBLE ALONG WITH SPECIAL GUEST LINDA
VAUGHAN AT MCACN!
The Muscle Car
and Corvette Nationals has become known for many
things, among them our “Premier Unveilings”
of significant Muscle Cars and Corvettes. Those who
were with us last year certainly remember the gorgeous
Shelby GT 500 convertible, formerly owned and driven
by Carroll Shelby from the Styles Family
Collection, and the outrageous Baldwin-Motion
Maco Shark, owned by Dan McMichael, that opened
the show last year. Or maybe it was the lovely young
lady in the red bikini next to the Shelby that caught your eye when you
entered the show.
This year, we
plan on keeping the excitement level high, and are
ready to announce our first Premier Unveiling for the
2012 show, which will take place November 17-18 at the
Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont,
(greater Chicago), Illinois. Out in Colorado, a very
special automobile is being restored as we speak. Gary
Riley of Level One Restorations has been a
big supporter of our show since its inception, and
this year he will be taking the cover off of the
documented and very real 1969 Hurst/Olds
Convertible. If you are an Indy 500 fan, you
certainly remember those pictures of lovely
Linda Vaughan up on the big platform mounted
on the decklid, hanging onto the big shifter and
waving to her many adoring fans back in 1969,
right? Well....we will be making some history with
this exact automobile again, when it is unveiled at
the show. And as if that isn’t enough, Linda
Vaughan, Miss Hurst Golden Shifter, will
be joining us at our show to witness the festivities and
greet her
fans!
To get a
sneak peek of this car and see some of its unique
features, check out the page that Gary posted on his
website;

This is a truly
significant piece of Muscle Car history and we are
honored to be able to share it with you. Oh...and that
is just ONE of the Premier Unveilings we will
be hosting this year; more on the others later!
