ENCOURAGE YOUNGER HOBBYISTS
If you are like me, you
may wonder about the future of this great hobby of ours. Clearly, with
all of the distractions and incredible popularity of computers and
social media, it has become increasingly rare to even find a young
enthusiast. Sure...we have a few, but there clearly is nowhere near the
amount of younger guys and girls coming in to this hobby as there are
old guys going out. And let’s face it...none of us are getting any
younger!
I am very fortunate that
my son Ian, who has been participating in car events with me for years,
is nearly as enthusiastic as me and is passing this enthusiasm down to
my Grandson Robbie. And of course, some of you know my Granddaughter
Emily absolutely loves anything with wheels. Sadly, we are among a
minority. And that is where we need your help, and we have a
pretty awesome incentive to go with our request.
Dennis Curlee of
Titan Lifts, our Official and Exclusive
Lift Company, has also been concerned with this trend. We
recently met and Dennis really stepped up to see if we can “plant the
seed” for some future hobbyists, and encourage those who may already
have some interest. How does donating a FREE
Titan Lift sound? That is exactly what Dennis and
his crew have decided to do!
To qualify to win your
very own Titan 4-post lift with a
retail value of over $2,500,00, you must bring in one or more younger
enthusiasts to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals
show next month. To qualify as a “younger enthusiast” he or she must be
21 years of age or younger with proof of age. To make things
even better, those who are 21 and younger that you bring with
you will be granted FREE ADMISSION to the MCACN show, compliments of
Titan Lifts. In addition to the younger enthusiast
receiving an entry for the lift upon check in at the show, (one per
person), we will also reward you with an additional entry to
win the lift. One entry per person, and you must purchase a ticket to
attend the show or be one of our participants to receive your entry
form. The Under 21 year old participant admission pass will be disbursed
at the
Titan Lifts check in table in our lobby upon
arrival
Saturday or
Sunday.
Now that is stepping to
the window to encourage the next generation! Of course, we will also
have our
Hagerty “Operation Ignite” Youth
Judging program, our FREE Model Car Make and Take, FREE old
school Hot Wheels races, our new Kids Photo Contest , FOUR awards
presented by
Pro Arc Electrical Contracting to
vehicle exhibitors that are 25 years old and younger, and our fun Muscle
Bike “Show within a Show” Sponsored by
Koolestuff.
We are committed to the
future of this hobby and encourage you to help us spread the word. If
you know a younger enthusiast, have kids or relatives or even a neighbor
kid that has expressed interest in your car at one point or another,
please bring them to MCACN and show them how cool our cars, and even
more importantly, our fellow enthusiasts are!

Modern Muscle area for tastefully modified cars from
1982-present, and we can take a couple more Barn Find/Hidden Gems and a
few more VIP Car Corral and regular Car for Sale vehicles. ALL other
area’s are now sold out and we have a “standby” list to fill any
cancellations. If you want to be put on our standby list, please send

The DoubleTree O’Hare and the Embassy Suites O’Hare are now sold out.
We do have rooms available at the Crowne Plaza at a rate of $108.00 per
night with $10.00 daily parking, and also the Hyatt Regency O’Hare at a
rate of $119.00 per night with $10.00 daily parking and complimentary
internet. In addition, we have rooms available at the aLoft, right
across from the big outlet mall with a rate of $127.00, with FREE

We are now are less
than 30 days away from the show that Muscle Car Review magazines says
“is the best muscle car show in the country” and “The Pebble Beach of
Muscle Cars.” We will host over 500 of the finest examples of American
Muscle and the rarest Corvettes along with nearly 200 automotive related
booths featuring the best automotive vendors and restorers from across
the country. The show will take place
Saturday, November 19, from
9 am – 9 pm, and
Sunday, November 20, from
9 am – 5 pm. Special guests this year
