Bloomington Gold Corvette Adds Camaro to the Mix
I don't really need an excuse to head to the awesome Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500. If there was ever an iconic venue when it comes to motorsports, the IMS is it. The energy that is in the air, even when there isn't a race going on is something everyone truly needs to experience.
When Guy Larsen, Owner of the "Grand-Daddy of Corvette Shows" Bloomington Gold moved the event to the Indy track several years ago, I could not have been more excited. And it has proven to be an absolutely outstanding home for the event. And speaking of this event, it offers a whole lot more than just the show. There is a big swap meet, an indoor vendor area, a variety of special displays,the huge Road Tour and of course, the outstanding Bloomington Gold judging. Add in the Autocross, the chance to actually drive on the Indy track, the seminars and so much more...
For anyone into Corvettes, no matter what the year, this is a must do event. And of course, if you are planing on joining us at MCACN in November to compete for Corvette Central Triple Diamond certification, it is required. And of course, if you want to add value to your Corvette, there is nothing better than obtaining Bloomington Gold accolades along with MCACN Gold or Triple Diamond status!
But that's not all that is happening in Indy this year. Recently Guy Larsen announced that they are now welcoming all generations of Camaro's to the mix. We are excited to see this expansion, as it certainly gives everyone another reason to attend, whether as a participant or spectator. To kick this into gear, they will host a very special display spotlighting some of the rarest and most sought after Camaro's ever shown. Remember Irwin Kroiz' Penske Camaro and Dana Mecums '68 Z28 convertibleyou saw at MCACN? They will be there! They are also hosting a group of high end Pro-Touring Camaros and Corvettes this year, another cool addition.
We will have a big display on the main aisle in Trackside Garage #22. Look for the MCACN banners and stop by for a cold water. We will tell you all about what we have lined up for the 2019 MCACN show, November 23-24. This year is again shaping up to be a record breaker! Of course, if you are showing a car this weekend, be sure to let us know so we can photograph it. We will be accepting applications onsite for Corvette Central Triple Diamond contenders and other potential entrants, and we have limited Commercial "B" spots available for automotive related only vendors, so be sure to come and see us. The show kicks off Thursday at 8 am and continues with all kinds of fun activities to Saturday late afternoon.
