Heading to the Mecum Schaumburg Auction This Week

At this point, we are slammed at MCACN headquarters. Fact is, we have sold out of every area of the show other than our Car For Sale areas! We have well over 500 cars signed up joining us from 30+ states and several provinces of Canada. We have 19 Premier Unveilings that have been confirmed and so much more we cant even begin to cover it all here!

This week I make my last trip before we head to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The Mecum Chicago Auction, held at the beautiful Schaumburg Convention Center, will host over 1,000 vehicles. The variety is pretty amazing, with everything from a Figoni bodied 1947 Delahaye to some MCACN worthy Muscle Machines. As always, they have the bases covered and some pretty cool collections. One that looks really interesting is the James Petrozzini Estate Collection. This collection has over 100 cars and when it comes to variety, let me tell you...long forgotten projects that sat for years to the previously mentioned Delahaye and everything in between. There are several Shelbys, Camaro's and even a Cadillac station wagon! Yep; diversity is the word! This collection alone will be worth the price of admission. For more details along with a full list of what is crossing the block go to www.mecum.com and be sure to sign up for the FREE Mecum Infonet system for real-time access to all of their auctions and much more.

We will be set up in Schaumburg with our display to get you up to date on what we have in store for you this year. From our Premier Unveilings to the appearances of Courtney Hansen and The Drag-On Lady, Shirley Shahan and of course, the Bullitt Mustang, we have a lot going on. And don't forget, we are adding another "Show within the Show" with our new Mini Bike area to compliment the always popular Muscle Bicycle display, both Sponsored by Koolestuff. Our Special and Invitational displays are truly over the top, and the list of one-off cars, like the Fairlane GTX-A-Go-Go, the Super Cat Cougar, the K & K and Marty Robins Nascar Daytona's and so many more. This will be the freshest and most diverse show to date. No matter what brand or model you lean toward, we have it covered. And if it is Barn Finds and Hidden Gems you look forward to, let me just say this is the most over-the-top group we have ever had the honor of hosting. Ever heard of an AMX/3?

Another thing I want to remind you of are all of the cool Kids activities we have for you. This is the future of our hobby, so help us plant the seed now! Of course, our Scavenger Hunt is always a hit with some cool freebies from many of our Official Sponsors, along with the Model Car "Make & Take", Hot Wheels races, the coloring "contest" (everyone wins!) and the awesome Hagerty Operation Ignite Youth Judging program. ALL of these activities are FREE, and as always, ALL Kids 12 Under under get in FREE with an AdultWe work hard to make this a true family friendly event, and we don't have beer stands on every corner.

PRESALE AND DISCOUNT TICKETS; Pre-Sale tickets are available online now by clicking here;   Due to the various fees with the online ticket services, we do not offer any discounts, but we also do not add any additional handling or other charges, meaning we absorb them on our end. Bottom line is that a $30 Adult admission ticket really is $30, not $30 + "handling" fees. Advance ticket holders will be able to use our Express Easy-in Entry Lane. For Discount Pre-Sale tickets, we have various outlets in the Chicagoland area and also Jim Thoren at Supercar Collectibles in Minnesota and Denny Barker in Hudsonville, Michigan. The Discount tickets are $25. I will also have Discount Pre-Sale tickets available at the Mecum Schaumberg Auction, so you can purchase them directly from me this week only. For the list of our Pre-Sale ticket sellers, click here;

HOTEL UPDATE; As of today, we have limited availability at TWO of our Official Host Hotels. The aLoft is just $129 per night with $10 daily parking and more. The Hyatt is $135 and daily parking is $15. Use this direct link to book your rooms now; The DoubleTree, the Embassy Suites and the Crowne Plaza are now sold out and we do not have any extra secret hidden rooms!

CAR and VENDOR ENTRY; We are now completely full in all area's of the show except for our Car For Sale, Muscle Bicycle and Mini Bike area's. We have just a few remaining VIP Car For Sale spots in the center room for $250 per car, and about ten in our standard open Car Corral at the back of the show for $100 per spot. To enter your car for sale, use this link;  We do have a "standby" list in case we get any cancellations for both cars for the show and for automotive only vendors. If you would like to be on the standby list with your car, please e-mail good pictures and a description to bashton426@gmail.com. Automotive only vendors that want to be on the standby list may also e-mail me at the same address.

CALLS TO MCACN HEADQUARTERS; It is nearly impossible to keep up with the phone calls we receive at this time of year. If you are able to E-mail or text, we will do our best to get back to you asap. Vicki monitors my E-mail, so that is always best. Also be sure to see the FAQ section of our website, as many of the questions received are covered there.

MCACN MAGAZINE; The new MCACN 88 page magazines are being mailed now. We are hearing that they are hitting mailboxes! If you were not on our mailing list, we will not be able to mail at this time. We will be putting the entire magazine online eventually, but remember, we have a very small staff and no time to handle single requests for magazines. I will have the new magazines at the Mecum Schaumburg Auction this week!

MOVE-IN LETTERS FOR PARTICIPANTS;
The Move In Packets are being assembled as we send this email. We are hoping to have them all sent by Monday Oct 28, which means if you are a registered exhibitor you should see your packet by Nov 1, 2019. If you don't receive it by Nov 7, please email Vicki and let her know.

We really are on the countdown now with about 30 days until we open the floor for our Second Decade! Show hours are Saturday, November 23, from 9 am - 8 pm and Sunday, November 24, from 9 am - 5 pm.

Hope to see many of you this weekend!
