Museums Step Up With Incredible Additions to the MCACN Show

The MCACN show is often called the best "rolling" museum in the world for Muscle Car and Corvette enthusiasts. With that being said, we are honored to have several of the worlds finest museums participating in our show.

Chrysler Turbine Car + engine; Last year we had TWO great cars from the "Bubble Collection" of the Detroit Historic Museum. The Bordinat Cobra and the Cougar II, certainly among the coolest Ford Concept Cars of the 60's, were a huge hit. This year the DHS joins us with one of the original Chrysler Turbine cars. And to make it even better, they are also debuting the Turbine display engine that has been stored away for decades. This will be the very first public showing of this engine. And to make it even better, Historian and all around great car guy Dave Marchione will be hosting several casual "walkaround" discussions Saturday and Sunday!

The Wellborn Muscle Car Museum; Tim and Pam Wellborn of the Wellborn Muscle Car Museum in Alabama return as Official Sponsors. Recently they hosted the largest gathering ever of Aero Warriors in celebration of the 50th Anniversary. To say that event was a smashing success would be an understatement! At MCACN they will continue the celebration with our own Aero Warriors 50th Anniversary Invitational display. What you will see in this display will blow you away! Of course, Tim is bringing in his very real Bobby Isaac K&K Daytona, which will be right next to Richard Petty's #43 Superbird, the Ramo Stott Superbird and the recently restored Marty Robbins Daytona. And then we have Gary and Pam Bienekes "What If" 1971(!) Wing Cars. All of this will be surrounded by a wide variety of Daytona's and Superbirds in a rainbow of colors, 440-4, 440-6 and of course, Hemis!

The Gilmore Museum; We are honored to host a display from one of the Premier Car Museums. If you haven't been to the Gilmore in Hickory Corners, Michigan, you absolutely need to and if you have, you know what I mean. So the big news is that they are preparing to break ground for a designated Muscle Car Building! We will have several seminars hosted by Museum Executive Director Chris Shires, that tell all about it and how you can get involved. But as I often say...wait, there's more! Our good friend Joe Spagnoli recently put his 1969 Hemi Under Glass Barracuda on display at the museum, which is the one that was featured on Jay Leno's Garage, but for MCACN, they are pulling it out just for us. Now that alone is pretty awesome, but to take it to the next level, Joe and the museum will be presenting something that has been in the works for over a year. We will tell you more about it later, but I will tell you this; it is also Hurst related, it is fresh, and once again, totally unexpected!

The National Corvette Museum; Again, the National Corvette Museum along with NCM Insurance join us as Official Sponsors, sponsoring our Class of 1969 Invitational displays. This year we have three displays; our 50th Anniversary special display, our Ford and Mercury Aero Warriors and the Buick G.S. special display. Whew!

We are getting pictures of trailers and Reliable trucks being loaded and messages from participants getting ready to hit the highways. Keep 'em coming, as I love seeing them. Be safe and remember to help us spread the word and share this along with our facebook posts, or better yet, bring your friends, family and especially some young enthusiasts!

With sincere appreciation.
