BIG Years For Factory Muscle + Big Year for MCACN!
When it comes to factory Muscle, few would dispute the fact that 1970 and 1971 were two of the hottest years. Of course, since the MCACN show is known for commemorating the Pinnacle Years of American Muscle with special Anniversary displays, that means 2021 will be amazing. Today we present another variation on the theme, as we will also host The Transitions Invitational this year when we return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (Suburban Chicago), Illinois, in addition to the Class of 1970 and Class of '70 50th Anniversary Invitational displays. So what is a Transitions display? Well pull that chair up to the screen and allow me to explain!
Our Transitions Invitational will spotlight cars that underwent a major styling change between 1970 and 1971, placed side by side. And there are quite a few of them! Think about the B-Body Mopars, including the Roadrunner, the GTX and the Charger. How about the Ford Mustang and the Mercury Cougar? And over at AMC, the Javelins and AMX's were totally redesigned. Get the idea? Imagine seeing the finest examples of these models side by side. That is what we are doing. We already have several prime examples paired up, but if you own one of these let us know. Fact is, if the spots are full for this display, there may be a spot for you in either the Class of 1970 or our Class of '71 Invitationals. This is all about having some fun and learning more about the cars we all love. Priority, as always, is given to the "best of the best'' factory stock examples, especially cars that are rarely, if ever shown. Let us know what you have!
Speaking of cars we are looking for, response to my call out last week was great; THANKS to all who responded. We added some truly outstanding examples to several of our special displays and several others that will be in the show.
