Happy Holidays!
As the year winds down, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy Holiday season! We will take this time to relax, spend some quality time with the Grandkids and value this time we are able to spend with family.
2022 was a great year for the MCACN show, and while it may not have been 2019, it certainly made us feel good about the future. The passion and enthusiasm is definitely at fever pitch, and not just for us but for nearly every aspect of the automotive hobby. We saw record crowds for Formula 1 races, record crowds at various outdoor shows and swap meets including the awesome Carlisle and Bloomington Gold events, at both SEMA and the PRI shows and records smashed at the auctions. There is no doubt that it was a great year for us car people and 2023 will be even better!
Congrats go out to our Title Sponsor Mecum Auctions, who just blew past the 4,000(!) cars consigned mark for the upcoming Kissimmee auction, and they had an absolutely incredible 2022. YES....another record for the Mecum team, proving once again that nobody sells more Muscle than Mecum....NOBODY! Our sponsors are reporting that sales are outstanding in nearly every area and previous supply chain issues are getting better. We also know that Bill Stasek Chevrolet sold each and every Corvette they could get their hands on and Denny Guest's South Oak Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram sold every SRT product they could get. MCACN Hotels: Once again we have hammered out some great deals at our Official Host Hotels. Several direct booking links are coming soon, so don't hesitate to lock in your rooms! The Hyatt comes in at $144.00, the DoubleTree $149.00 and the Embassy Suites comes in at $162.00. The Embassy will be hosting their nightly reception in the larger breakfast area again, since we outgrew the bar area! Of course, they also have their awesome breakfast with the made to order omelets, my personal favorite! Car Registration: While the vast majority of our cars are personally invited, it is possible to apply online through our website. You must be Pre-Approved by sending pictures and information to bashton426@gmail.com and we are very picky! A payment and an application do not guarantee entry. As most know, our primary focus will always be factory stock Muscle Cars of the 60's and 70's and the finest and rarest Corvettes. We always have several Special displays that deviate from this, and we always love to see unusual cars, and many of these are not 60's-70's Muscle. If it is something cool, unusual, rarely (or never!) shown or has a great story, let's hear about it. The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show is all about presenting the cars that are unexpected and we LOVE great family history, unusual back stories and presenting things that you or I may not even know about. Our Special and Invitational displays spotlight the absolute best of the best and each is strictly limited. We also strive to maintain a balanced show, brand wise, as we love to present ALL brands, even AMC's and Studebakers!
Vendor Registration: As always, we maintain our policy of having strictly automotive or automotive related vendors at the MCACN show. If you are a head-set hawker, represent a travel agency, do pull-up challenges or any of that, please don't waste our time. Same space vendors must register by April 1st to guarantee your spots and pricing. After that, spaces are released and pricing goes up incrementally as we approach the show. In Search of the WINGED Holy Grail Book; Supplier and printing delays caused us to postpone release, but we are on track to have the new book in hand real soon. Thanks to all who pre-ordered, rest assured, you will be getting yours first! We will post a link to purchase when they are actually in hand, so stay tuned!
Well....that's enough business for now. After the holidays we start travelling, meeting with collectors and lining up cars for the 2023 show, which will take place Saturday, November 18, and Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. While it may seem like a long time off, it will sneak up on us! Heck...it's already been over a month since our 2022 show! Watch for national print coverage in addition to all of the online coverage. And please help us spread the word by sharing our posts, instagram messages and the many Youtube videos that are out there.
