In Search of the WINGED Holy Grail Limited Edition Book
I am thrilled to announce the long overdue brand new In Search of the Winged Holy Grail books are in! Vicki has caught up with the pre-orders and we are now offering them exclusively. This is a VERY Limited Edition, with just 503 books printed. Well over half are either in transit or have been delivered!
This hardcover book has 72 colorful pages filled with pictures and stories and each and every one of the 23 Dodge Daytona's and Plymouth Superbirds's that were featured in our 2022 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Wings Over America Invitational red carpet display last November. In addition to those, we also cover the Winged Warriors that were in the Mecum Auctions display and the Daytona that was unveiled in the AMCRI display. Whew...that's a lot of Wing Cars!
The back story of each car is covered, with some really fun stories. Imagine stepping back in time to the first time you saw one of these cars...and decided you had to have one! How about driving across the country through snow and ice after acquiring one ? Or perhaps you wonder why anyone would paint their Superbird black, or how a bike ride eventually led to ownership. These stories and more are covered.

This is not a "facts and figures" book, it is deep dive into the individual cars and the passion of the Wing Car enthusiasts. Many of the stories start with the memory of the first time seeing a Daytona or Superbird, and vowing to someday own one.
With a forward written by Bob Jennings, who joined us with EIGHT of his Wing Cars, he explains how he became hooked. As many of you know, Bob really uses his cars, even to the extent of driving to the farthest reaches of Alaska! Yep...you will read about that too!
This is a "one shot" Limited Edition hardcover book, and when they are gone they're gone. I really enjoyed writing this and have to say I am pleased with the end results. Special thanks go out to each and every one of the owners, who opened their homes (and garages!) to me and spent time sharing these stories. We are looking for the best of the best, the rarest of the rare with an emphasis on cars that are rarely (if ever!) shown. Priority is always given to cars that have not been shown with us or in the area. We are committed to producing a fresh and exciting new show for our spectators each and every year.
Would LOVE To See: A few of the cars we would really love to add to the mix; high performance El Camino's and Rancheros, prime examples of General Motors Colonnade Malaise Era cars, '73 400 and 440 powered Chargers and Roadrunners and how about some "Alternative" Muscle and Big Bodies! Spring has sprung with the taste of "summer" we recently experienced here in the midwest. While the cold has swung back in, there is hope and it won't be long before we are out there enjoying the sights and sounds!
