The Rapid Transit System 'cuda Featured at MCACN Show

As you can imagine, the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals team has seen some incredible collections. Hidden away in a non decrypt building in Southern California is one that hardly anyone knows about. Within those walls are hundreds of the absolute finest and rarest Unrestored Original Muscle Cars and Exotics. This private collection is not open to the public. The cars range from American Muscle with odometers that are in single digits, exotics that have only delivery miles and one car that stands out among them. That car is the recently discovered Rapid Transit System 'cuda.

The stories have been told about Tony, who acquired the car after spotting it behind a chain link fence with a simple For Sale sign on the dash. While he may not have known exactly what it was, he did know it was pretty cool and unlike anything he had ever seen before. With about 930 miles on the odometer and the wild paint and body work, he had to have it. A deal was struck and it would soon be in his garage. Tony took it out a few times, but the attention it garnered was a bit too much for him. He stashed it in the garage, where it would sit untouched for about 50 years.

Steven Juliano, the consummate RTS and Scat Pack car and memorabilia collector spent years trying to find it. While he eventually found Tony, he never actually saw the car. Offers were made, but amazingly, even with Stevens ability to find and acquire darn near anything he wanted, it never came to fruition. You see, Tony had a vision of the car being on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. The years would pass and one day the decision was made that the car would be removed from its long term storage and sold. And that is where the story takes many twists and turns...

Fast forward to May 2023. The car hit would be offered for sale at Dana Mecums Original Spring Classic in Indianapolis. While the collector car world knew this was exciting and potentially record breaking news, nobody knew exactly how it would play out. To make a very long story short, after incredibly spirited bidding, the hammer fell with a staggering bid of $2.2m. Well...they are only original once and there certainly is not another like it! So who is the new caretaker?

Evan is supporter of what we do at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, and while he rarely shows any of his cars, he knows that this is something that needs to be seen after it's long slumber We are truly honored.

To make things even better, our good friend Chuck Miller will be joining us. Chuck, of Styline Kustoms in Michigan, is the original creator of this car and the "Chicken Head" Rapid Transit System Roadrunner you saw at MCACN a few years ago. Chuck will be with us Saturday and Sunday, sharing stories, signing FREE posters and you will be able to take a picture with Chuck and the RTS 'cuda.
