MECUM AUCTION COMPANY RETURNS TO HOST MCACN MECUM LOUNGE
Mecum Auctions
We are pleased to announce that the Mecum Auction Company is returning to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals as a Diamond Level Sponsor and to again host the Mecum Lounge. If you were at our show last year, you know how cool this area is. A nice relaxed VIP lounge right up front, that was open for all of our participants and spectators, with big screen TV’s, comfortable couches and a chance to rub elbows with Dana Mecum and his team, in a nice relaxed setting. Dana set it up so that he and his crew would have a chance to talk to customers, new and old, about the many upcoming auctions and just about anything else that was on your mind. What a cool concept!
But this week, The Mecum Auction Company has something else going on, and if you don’t know about it already, you must be living in a cave! Dana and his crew have already invaded the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana for what is the “World’s Largest Collector Car Auction” with over 2,000(!) cars crossing the block. Now think about that for a minute...over 2,000 cars; whew!! If you have been thinking about buying a Muscle Car, you need to be there. It doesn’t matter what make or model you are thinking of, because chances are you’ll find it there. The auction has already started and continues all week to Sunday. With this great location, easy access to several of the Interstates and also the Indianapolis Airport nearby, you just gotta go! Heck...even if you aren’t in the market, it is well worth the trip just to see all of the cars and join in the action.
You will find several MCACN alumnus crossing the block this week. Our good friend Tom Clary will be offering his 2010 Nickey/Yenko 427 Super Camaro, shown in our inaugural MCACN show, while the Nickey Chicago crew will have several offerings, including a Nickey/Lingenfelter Stage III-S Super Camaro and a 1966 Mini Moke! The beautiful Craig Breedlove Speed Spectacular Javelin, which was in the AMC/Ya display last year, is also being offered. Rayburn Pennington will offer up his 1973 Motion Manta Ray on Saturday, a “Motion Madness” participant, offering a rare chance to grab a truly unique Joel “Mr. Motion” creation. If you are thinking of a rompin-stompin Mopar, then check out the incredible silver ‘65 Dodge A990 replica built by George Young that you saw in our Mopar Alley display last year, with a 560 horsepower 426 Hemi under the hood. I could go on and on, but rest assured, the selection of prime Muscle, along with hundreds of additional collectible cars, motorcycles, scooters and memorabilia is unsurpassed. To see all of the offerings, check out the Mecum Auctions website; www.mecum.com. You will also find directions, hours and hotel listings. I’ll be there all week, so if you see me, be sure to say HI, even if I appear to have “sensory overload” from looking at all the cars!

The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals will take place November 17-18, 2012 at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (greater Chicago), Illinois. Registration is now open for cars and vendors through our website; www.mcacn.com. With over 500 cars, 200+ automotive vendor spaces, two car for sale area’s, a Muscle Bike show. FREE seminars, a FREE model car contest, FREE Revell Models “make and take” FREE admission for kids under twelve and much more, this is must do show for the whole family. You will also find direct links to our Host Hotels, with super special MCACN show rates and special perks.
