When it comes to massive muscle, there aren’t many engines that top the 450 horsepower, 454 cubic inch Chevy LS6’s. One of the all time highest factory horsepower ratings of the day, if the horsepower didn’t get your attention, the massive torque certainly would! When introduced as an option for the 1970 Chevelle and the El Camino, it instantly demanded respect on both the street and the strip. In the collector car world, documented LS6’s demand top dollar, especially the few real LS6 Chevelle convertibles. These are clearly at the top of the heap, right next to the Hemi Mopar and Shelby convertibles on the “gotta have it” lists of any serious Muscle Car collector.

 

Carlisle Events is one of the world's largest presenters of collector car and truck events, and they have been huge supporters of what we do at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals since our inception. In addition to being able to work with outstanding sponsors, we also get the opportunity to work directly with many other great people. In the world of Chevelles and LS6’s, two of the most respected authorities are Chris White and Rick Nelson. Both are long time enthusiasts and restorers, and these guys know Chevelles! We are pleased to announce that Chris and Rick will be coordinating our LS6 Invitational display. What this means is that you wont be seeing anything but the finest and rarest documented and real LS6 Chevelles, El Camino’s and Corvettes in this display. If you want to see real LS6 convertibles, I am pleased to say we already have two confirmed, along with both restored and unrestored examples of LS6 Chevelle hardtops. And to make it even more exciting, we’ll have one of the all time most recognized LS6 Chevelles ever; the Red Alert drag racer. Who doesn’t remember the many wheels up pictures of that one? And YES...each and every one of the cars in this display are real, absolutely no “clones” or “tributes” here! And speaking of restored and unrestored, you may have noticed we also mentioned LS6 Corvettes. Yes...in 1971 Chevy offered the LS6 454 as a high performance 425 horsepower option package, and again, we have restored and unrestored examples confirmed for this display. We are now accepting applications for cars, muscle bicycles and automotive (only) related vendors. We are always looking for any brand, make or model that emphasizes too much horsepower and is real, whether it is shiny or not. We also have a limited amount of spots open for our new Modern Muscle section. We especially love cars that are seldom, if ever shown. Vendor spots start at just $200.00 for our Commercial B area, and $300.00 for the Commercial A area, which is nearly sold out already!

 

The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world’s largest all indoor specialty show devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Super Cars and the finest and rarest Corvettes. “The Pebble Beach of muscle cars” according to Muscle Car Review magazine! We will again fill nearly 400,000 square feet of exhibit space at the beautiful Donald E.
