MCACN and the State of Illinois Ready for MCACN!

While we have all been more than ready to get back at it, I am pleased to announce that the State of Illinois has officially announced the entire state has entered Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan, meaning the entire state is now wide open. Whew...what a relief!

By PLANET STAFF SPRINGFIELD  Following weeks of steady decreases in new positive COVID-19 cases and with over 67% of residents age 18 and older receiving their first vaccine dose, Gov. JB Pritzker is releasing guidelines for Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan, which will go into effect on Friday, June 11, and marks a full reopening of all businesses and activities. The guidance means businesses, large-scale events, conventions, amusement parks and seated-spectator venues, among others, will be able to operate at full capacity for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic “After a tremendously challenging year, Illinois has now reached a defining moment in our efforts to defeat COVID-19,” Pritzker said. “Thanks to the hard work of residents across the state, Illinois will soon resume life as we knew it before — returning to events, gatherings and a fully reopened economy, with some of the safety guidelines we’ve adopted still in place. As we fully reopen, this administration remains laser focused on ensuring a strong recovery for our small businesses and communities.

So what does this mean? Well, it is Full Speed Ahead for the MCACN team, as we prepare for our return to Rosemont, (in SUBURBAN Chicago), Illinois, November 20-21, 2021. ALL of our Official Host Hotels are reporting that bookings are coming in at a rapid rate, and they are as excited as we are with great rates, reduced rate parking and extra perks for all of our spectators and participants. Don't hesitate, as these hotels know what we do, want your business and work hard to build relationships with our people. To see rates and explanations of all five and to book your rooms now, click here:

Car Entry: We have blasted past the 425 car mark for registered entries, and most of our Special and Invitational displays are all locked in. If you have a special car that you would like to show, please email pictures and information asap to me at bashton426@gmail.com. Of course, preference is given to rarely shown cars and cars that have not been shown in the area or with us previously. While some exceptions may be made, we are dedicated to producing the freshest possible show with the rarest and coolest cars.

Commercial Space; We have limited Commercial space available in our center and rear halls. You must be automotive related, as we do not allow any home improvement companies, travel agencies, head-set hawkers are other stuff that you aren't coming to see at MCACN. Remember that our 10 x 12' Commercial B spaces are just $250 per spot, making it very affordable to get your business in front of the right highly qualified people that are ready and anxious to spend!

We are Heading to Bloomington Gold This Week! We are extremely excited to be getting back to Indy for the Bloomington Gold event June 18 & 19, 2021. Not only for the awesome Corvettes, but also for the expansion that allows Bloomington Gold Certification for CAMARO's, which is new this year. Last year Guy Larsen and his team expanded with Premiere Judging and certification for premium modified Corvettes, and now we can add the Camaro's to the mix! I am really excited to see this. My long time friend Bill Nichols is coordinating the integration of the Camaro's, and I can assure you, he knows his stuff, is very passionate and excited to bring this new element to an already awesome event. And of course, Guy and his team have the Road Tour, a swap meet, vendors inside and out, seminars, a new Movie Screening area, a Beer Garden and more. How is that for providing a variety of neat activities to add to the stellar lineup of the very best Corvettes and Camaros! We will be set up in the main indoor judging area, so make a point of chasing me down if you'd like to hear more about what we have in store for MCACN 2021. But be prepared...my excitement level may be contagious! To get full information including the schedule of events, movie and seminar times and the layouts for all of the areas, click here:

As always, I could go on and on, but I need to load up the trailer to get ready to head to Indy for Bloomington Gold! Hope to see you there.

Father's Day is the perfect chance for you to return the love you receive from the father figure in your life on a daily basis.

On the third Sunday in June, make sure to thank your father, father figure or honorary dad for all they have done for you.

JUNE COLLECTOR CAR FRAUD TIP :

“POST OFFICE BOXES” When you read an advertisement for a collector car or collector part and you are instructed to find out more information to write to a post office box – be on your guard. It is too easy to hide one’s identity behind a box number and if there is a problem, they can shut it down with the stroke of a computer click! If you get serious about the car, always request a copy of their driver’s license before you commit sending any money – know where the seller’s physical location is! Learn more at the MCACN – Collector Car Fraud Seminar to be held Nov. 20/21. Brought to you by Bruce Shaw Esquire – famous motorhead and estate planning attorney.
