THE OFFICIAL CAR COVER OF THE MCACN SHOW
When we say we work with the best in the industry when it comes to our Official Sponsors, we really mean it. And the best part is that not only are they the best, but they are also huge supporters of our hobby in so many ways.
California Car Cover has been with us for several years now. This year they will be "covering" each and every one of our Premier Unveilings, Saturday morning. Jim and Loraine DeFrank founded California Car Cover in the spring of 1989, but their roots in classic cars started well before that. Jim, a lifelong gearhead, grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and spent his youth at car shows and drag strips. In 1965, Jim packed up his 1955 Chevy and along with his new wife, Loraine, they moved to sunny Southern California.
Jim had various careers before opening California Car Cover. From working at 20th Century Studios to operating a Snap-On Tools truck, Jim has always been a hands-on type of person. After owning an auto parts store in Los Angeles and co-owning another mail order auto accessory company, Jim and Loraine opened California Car Cover in May of 1989. What started as a small mail order shop in Van Nuys, California has grown to become the ultimate source for premium car care products. The first California Car Cover catalog was just 4 pages of custom fit car covers and accessories. Now, the bi-monthly publication is over 70 pages and features everything for the auto enthusiast to maintain his or her vehicle. Though the company has grown, the focus is still to provide customers with the best custom fit car covers and accessories available.
Today, California Car Cover is still family owned and operated. Jim and Loraine, plus their two sons, Jimmy and Tony, are involved in the business. The company is a strong supporter of classic car shows and NHRA drag racing events around the country. Members of the California Car Cover Crew will be joining us and presenting a very special award. And yes...for those of you wondering, that is "the" Jim DeFrank of the successful NHRA drag racing family and team, particularly known for winning multiple Super Stock and Stock class championships and races!
In addition to their impressive line of high quality car covers, (which you will see!) California Car Cover has all kinds of products, from car care to accessories and even goodies for your garage. They even have custom fit covers for your golf cart and motorcycle!
