REVVING
UP FOR THE MID AMERICA CORVETTE FUNFEST
We love being
able to spend quality time with our Official
Sponsors, especially when it comes to
participating in their events. This year we
spent time at several outstanding
Mecum
Auctions, the
Carlisle Mopar
show, several events at
Bill Stasek
Chevrolet, the open house at
Magnum Auto Restorations and had a
visit to The
Wellborn Muscle Car Museum.
This weekend we head out to Effingham, Illinois
for something that is exactly what the name
implies; the Mid America Motor Works
Corvette
Funfest!
The list of
things to do and see at this event is long, with
something for everyone, whether young or old,
male or female. The show, seminars, a fashion
show, a swap meet area, cars for sale, food and
wine tasting, the MY Garage Museum, the Fun Run
and of course, the big Saturday night Bar-B-Q
and concert, featuring former Beach Boys
guitarist,
David Marks & Surf City Allstars. Now that
is guaranteed to be fun! We’ll be
set up in the midway talking about the MCACN
show and enjoying the festivities. In addition
to row after row of all generations of Corvette,
you’ll see and be able to talk to plenty of
parts suppliers, get all kinds of great deals
and best of all, meet the awesome
Mid America Motorworks staff and all kinds of people that
are there to have fun. And that is what it’s

DALLAS, September 16-19, 2015-
Here is another must
do event, especially if you are in the
market to expand your collection!
The
Mecum Auctions team is returning to
Dallas, Texas this weekend. With 1,000 vehicles
crossing the block, you are bound to score
something cool. I was checking out the website
www.mecum.com
and I see a gorgeous ‘69 Daytona, a sweet
Lamborghini Countach and one of the latest
creations from Petty’s Garage...and that’s just
on the home page! And remember, if you aren’t
able to attend in person, you can
sign up for
the free Mecum Infonet to watch the action in
real-time.
PURE
STOCK MUSCLE CAR DRAG RACES
Sept 17-19, 2015;
But
wait...we’re not done yet! Many of you saw
the cool displays we had at MCACN featuring the
Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Racers. This
year, the group, led by Donnie Brass, return
with a whole new crop of show ready
whompin’ stompin’ muscle machines. These cars
are all prime examples of real American Muscle,
and all could be award winners at local or
national shows. Well, this weekend you can see
them being raced, and raced hard, at the annual
PSMCDR event in Stanton, Michigan. This is
another event that is just plain old fashioned
fun, almost like a step back in time. Racers all
help each other out, sharing tips and tools, and
everyone has a great time. For the full scoop

magazine, and I have to say I am very
pleased with the results. Of course, having
great content to work with makes it a bit

SHOW
ENTRY; As we get closer to the big
weekend, more and more of our show categories
are sold out. Remember, in order to keep the
show fresh and balanced, we limit the
amount of similar makes and models. We also
“hold” previously shown cars, again to assure
that the show is as fresh as it can possibly be.
We do have openings in our Barn Find/Hidden Gems
area and a few more for Triple Diamond Corvette
certification, along with some other area’s.
Bottom line is, if you are planning on joining
us, let us know ASAP so that you aren’t left out
by submitting an application
here. This also applies to automotive vendors,
as we are now sold out of Commercial “A”
(big room) space and have limited availability
for
Commercial “B”. With our rate being just
$200 for a 12 x 10’ spot, there is no wonder why
we’ll soon be sold out!

openings in our VIP Car Corral for select high
end cars at $250 per spot, and can accommodate
about ten more cars in our standard Car Corral
at the back of Hall “A” at $100 per spot.
