MCACN 2016 Sneak Peek*
1969 Yenko 427 Chevelle
Day 2 Invitational Display
Owner; Frank Chicherchia, New York
BUSY
WEEK FOR MCACN CREW
First off, we are pleased to announce we
recently confirmed a strategic partnership with
the
Auto World die cast company, makers of some
of the coolest collectible 1/64, 1/43 and 1/18th
scale Limited Edition replicas on the market.
The Auto World team has been attending our show
for several years now, and of course, we
discussed how cool it would be to replicate some
of the actual cars that are at our shows. This
led to further discussions, and as they say...the
rest is soon to become Muscle Car history! The
first offering will be the gorgeous Silver ‘66
Chevelle SS that was shown by Mr. and Mrs. Terry
Davis. You’ll remember this one, because it was
one of two that they had on display at last
years show, side by side. The first will be in
1/18th scale, with loads of detail. What makes
this especially neat is that it is not just any
silver Chevelle; it is the Davis’ actual
car, right down to the proper redline tires
and full wheelcovers! This is the first of many
more, and as mentioned, the MCACN series will be
produced in various sizes. We have invited this
car to be part of our
Class of 1966
Invitational
display, and the Auto
World folks will be on hand with a display. And
yes..they will be looking for more cars for the
Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Series!
Your car may be the next to be replicated...
OLDSMOBILE HOMECOMING; we will
be heading to Lansing, Michigan for the
Oldsmobile homecoming this
Saturday, June 18.
This is the largest single day ALL Oldsmobile
event in the world. We always find some great
cars for the MCACN show, and we’ll have a
display in the midway/swap area. This is an
absolute must do event for any Muscle Car fan,
whether you are an Olds guy or not.

EyesOn Design; It is once again
time for the Fathers Day Tradition
EyesOn Design show this
Sunday, June 19.
For over ten years now, I have assembled an
outstanding group of Muscle Cars, including
several MCACN participants and alumnus and a prime group of tastefully modified Tuners for
this prestigious show. Held on the grounds of
the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe
Shores, Michigan, we will have a booth to
promote the MCACN show. And as if that isn’t
enough, we will also have a very special display
of 20+ Muscle Bicycles, which will include our
Granddaughter Emily’s very own 1972 Ross Polo
Jr. muscle bike as seen at MCACN! This Concours
style event is a benefit for Henry Ford
Health System's
Detroit
Institute of Ophthalmology.
EyesOn Design is a major source
of funding for the DIO's research, education and
support group programs for the visually
impaired.

FATHERS DAY
and some suggestions for
Dad, Grandpa or any other enthusiast;
We would like to say Happy Fathers Day to all
the Dad’s and Grand-dads out there. I would also
like to say that Car books make outstanding
presents, and want to recommend a few that I
have added to my own personal collection
recently. First off, the latest from our good
friend Wes Eisenschenk, titled
Lost
Muscle Cars.
This book is a collection
of stories written by enthusiasts about their
quest to find these extremely rare and valuable
muscle cars.
Great reading and available now through
Cartech. Second up is an absolutely
gorgeous hardcover titled
Wide Open
Muscle. This one has some of the best
convertibles from
The Brothers
Collection and was written by one of my
all time favorite authors, Randy Leffingwell,
with incredible photography by Tom Loeser.
Yes...you will see some familiar cars
that you have seen at MCACN in this one! Get
this one through
Motorboooks/Quarto
Publishing. Of course these books
are available through Amazon too! Third up
is the new Boss 351 book from
Rick Ybarra, Jr. If it pertains to the Boss 351,
it’s in here! Contact
Rick to get your copy of
this one.
Oh...and one more thing; all of
these authors will be joining us at the MCACN
show in November, so you will be able to get
your books autographed!
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the
world’s largest all indoor specialty show
devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars
and the finest and Rarest Corvettes. We will
host over 500 collectible cars filling nearly
400,000 square feet of exhibit space at the
Donald E. Stephens Convention center in
Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois. The show
will take place Saturday, November 19, from
9 am – 9 pm and
Sunday, November 20,
from 9 am – 5 pm.
