Chicagoland Mopar Connection Gears
up for Belvidere!
The Chicagoland Mopar Connection group have
been supporters of the Muscle Car and
Corvette Nationals show since our inception
in 2009. For the past several years, club
members, led by Roger and Diane Schmeling,
have coordinated our cool Mopar
Alley display, each year featuring
a new group of prime examples of Mopar
Muscle. Of course, they will be doing it
again this year!
This weekend is one of their biggest and
best events; the
Belvidere Mopar
Happening and Midwest Charger “show
within a show”. This will take place with
the Charger show kicking things off on
Saturday, July 23 and the big show on
Sunday, July 24. Held at the Boone County
Fairgrounds in Belvidere, Illinois, there is
plenty of room for hundreds of cars. They
also have a great swap meet and indoor
vendors too. We will have a display inside
to spread the word about MCACN, and we will
be accepting applications for cars and
vendors. I always find some great cars at
this show and I am sure we will again. I am
especially looking for sunroof cars for our
very special
Factory Sunroof Cars
Invitational display

The Wellborn Muscle Car Museum,
outstanding 1966 and 1971 model year cars
for our Anniversary displays and of course,
great Mopars in general for the show and for
Mopar Alley. We’ll be set
up both days, so please make a point of
stopping by so we can tell you what we have
in store for the show this year. We will
also have our Velocity Channel
television program;
Legendary Motorcars Chi-Town Cudas
playing, so if you haven’t seen it yet,
check it out...you might just see
yourself or your car!
Speaking of Mopars, we would like to
congratulate Ed Buczeskie and the entire
Carlisle Events team for
hosting another outstanding and record
setting event last weekend. They played host
to over 2,700 cars, again setting a new
record! It was truly a great event, so make
a point of putting this one on your calendar
for next year.
Next week we gear up for the
Concours d’Elegance of America,
formerly known as the Meadowbrook
Concours in the Detroit area. I
coordinate the Muscle Car group, and this
year will host 15 of the wildest color 60’s
and 70’s Muscle Machines you will ever see.
Of course, nearly all of these cars are
MCACN alumnus, and needless to say, the
absolute best of the best. For full show and

The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is
the worlds largest all indoor specialty show
devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built
Supercars and the finest and rarest
Corvettes. We will again fill nearly 400,000
square feet of exhibit space at the
beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention
Center in Rosemont, (suburban Chicago),
Illinois. The show will take place Saturday,
November 19, from 9 am – 9 pm and Sunday,
November 20, from 9 am – 5 pm.
