Tenth Anniversary Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Magazine
We have been hard at work putting together our Tenth Anniversary MCACN magazine. With 80 pages, it will be jam packed with stories about some of the cars and people that you will see at the show this year. Of course, the biggest challenge is finding a way to express exactly what we have in store for you. Again, I have way more than we can show within the 80 pages, but at least you’ll be able to get a sampling! We also want you to know about our Official Sponsors, as they truly are the best and we could not do what we do without them.
Our big feature display up front that flanks the red carpet will spotlight nearly twenty Rapid Transit System and Scat Pack Mopars. What really takes this display over the top is that the very real Rapid Transit System Caravan cars will be joining us from the Steven Juliano Collection, along with special Guest Chuck Miller, who originally created them. We have been working on this for quite some time and I am absolutely thrilled to be able to say, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. These cars have NEVER been publicly shown together anywhere, anytime. Over ten years ago Steven showed two of them at the Carlisle Mopar event, but at that time he had not acquired the third. This year ALL THREE will be on display, side by side! We will be talking about this quite a bit over the next few months and suffice it to say, you’ll read about them in our magazine. There is a whole lot more that will be in this display, including some incredible memorabilia and original art that has never been publically shown. And we are matching some of the cars to the original RTS and Scat Pack ads of the era.

MCACN Magazine Advertising; We have just a few more available spots for ads in our magazine. Cars We Are Looking For; We are tracking way ahead in registrations this year and we already have more cars than ever that have never been shown in the Chicagoland area. This means you will see one of the freshest shows ever, and again, many cars that are rarely if ever shown to the public. There are a few specific cars I hope to add to some of our special displays, so if you own a prime factory stock 1969 Dart Swinger 340 or a 70-72 Duster 340 and would like to be a part of our Scat Pack and Rapid Transit System Invitational display, please let me know.
We also have limited openings for Corvette Central Triple Diamond candidates, so if you are going to the Charlotte for the Bloomington Gold event certification next month and want to earn your Triple Diamond, please sign up now. I would also like to add a GTO, a Buick G.S. and a few Big Bodies to our Class of 1968 display. Cars must be factory stock and the best of the best for these displays. THREE Events Get the MCACN Thumbs Up This Weekend; The season isn’t even close to over yet, and with that being said allow me to recommend three different events in three different area’s. Each of these are “must do” events that promise to be a whole lot of fun.
BOSS NATIONALS; First, our good friends from Boss Motors along with Rick Ybarra have been working hard to present the Boss Nationals in Marysville, Kansas. GILMORE CAR MUSEUM MUSCLE CARS PLUS SHOW AND SWAP; This Sunday only event is going to be a whole lot of fun. The Gilmore Museum is among the finest car museums in the country, and when they add a show and swap, you cant go wrong. Hopefully you had a chance to talk to Museum staff when they were at our show last year with a display, and they will return to MCACN again this year. Make a point of checking out this event and the museum.

MCACN OFFICIAL HOTELS UPDATE; Yes; the DoubleTree O’Hare and the Embassy Suites O’Hare are already sold out, but not to worry! We have three additional Official Host Hotels, all offering great special rates and extra perks for our spectators and participants. The Crowne Plaza O’Hare is right across the street with rooms available for just $117.00 per night. They recently opened the new Bill Murray Caddyshack theme bar and restaurant, so you know that will be a hot spot!
