PURE STOCK MUSCLE CAR DRAGS THIS WEEK!
This is a week I look forward to all year, and the weather forecast is looking perfect for the annual Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th. I’ll be heading to the Mid Michigan Motorplex out in Stanton, Michigan to catch the action. And there is always plenty of action!
We are proud to host a select group of these cars every year at the MCACN show and this year is no exception. Donnie Brass, who races his own gorgeous Marlboro Maroon ‘66 Corvette that you have seen in our show previously, does a great job in hand picking cars that represent what this is all about. So let me share with you a direct quote from their website;
"The Pure Stock Drags is a heart-pumping, octane-boosting race for stock muscle cars held every September at Mid-Michigan Motorplex. What distinguishes our race is that drivers may make only limited modifications to their cars, ensuring the Detroit muscle remains just like when it rolled off the assembly line. The result is more than one hundred beautiful, high-quality cars—that do more than sit in the garage."
Now doesn’t that sound like fun? And what makes it even better is that these cars are nearly all show worthy, as many of you have seen in our PSMCDR displays.

This year we again have a stellar group that includes a wide variety of these cars. And as always, expect to see some real surprises, like the 1955 Studebaker Commander that Dave Warren is showing. As I often say when talking about our show, expect the unexpected! C’mon out and join us this weekend to see these cars run, (and run hard!) and plan on talking to the guys and the ladies. And speaking of ladies, you’ll be able to catch Adrianna, who you’ll recognize from our postcards and magnets, as she will be running her very own orange W30 442 and of course the Waligora sisters in their beautiful black Z/28 and Chevelle SS! HOTEL UPDATE; Yes, the DoubleTree and the Embassy are now Sold Out. We do not have any “extra” rooms, as we have basically filled every available room that they have. Not to worry, as we have expanded our block at the Crowne Plaza, and they offer the lowest rate at just $117 per night, Single OR Double.
