PURE STOCK MUSCLE AT MID MICHIGAN MOTORPLEX...AND MCACN!
This week is one we look forward to all year long. This is when we witness the unleashing of thousands of horsepower from some awesome examples of American Muscle at its finest. The Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races take place Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14 at the cool Mid Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, Michigan.
If you're tired of looking at Muscle Cars parked at a show or cruise, I highly recommend heading out there. With over 100 cars doing exactly what they are built to do, there is no way you won't have a blast. And to say that these are nice cars is an understatement. Many could easily garner national level awards, (and many do!) and all of them are on the track mixing it up. 442's, Corvettes, Hemi cars, Trans-Ams, Camaro's, GTO's, AMX's, Chevelles, Chargers...you name it, they will be there!
To quote their website, "The Pure Stock Drags is a heart-pumping, octane-boosting race for stock muscle cars held every September at Mid-Michigan Motorplex. What distinguishes our race is that drivers may make only limited modifications to their cars, ensuring the Detroit muscle remains just like when it rolled off the assembly line. So the bottom line is, this is almost like stepping back in time. Racers share tips and tools, there is plenty of bench racing, the occasional shoot-out and a whole lot of good old fashioned fun. And if you think it is just a bunch of guys, guess again! You'll find Adrianna and Brooklyn Straub, two of our Official MCACN models, doing some mighty impressive burn-outs and keeping the guys on their toes. There are several other ladies out there, and I can assure you they know how to race! And as I like to say, keeping things interesting is key and the huge showing of Studebakers makes sure of that.
So this week you'll see these guys and ladies doing what they like best. THEN at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, you'll see an awesome display featuring a whole block of these cars along with video coverage of the cars on the track. Like I said....all about having fun!

We want to says THANKS to Dan and Dennis Jensen along with Lyndon Hughes who put together this awesome event. This year they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary, so that tells you just how cool this event is! And while we are extending our appreciation, we want to salute Donnie Brass, who will be racing his '66 Corvette this week. Donnie is responsible for coordinating the awesome PSMCDR Invitational display at MCACN, (for several years now, and different every year!) Donnie spends countless hours working on this for us and every year this is one of the most popular and fun area's of the MCACN show.
