MCACN Celebrates 50th Anniversary of 1970 Model Year

If you were with us last year, you know that we celebrated the 1969 model year in a HUGE way. Along with our Class of 1969 Invitational display, we also played host to 30 A12 Mopars, an entire row of Talledega's and Cyclone Spoilers, an incredible gathering of Buick G.S.'s and a stellar group of Corvettes that chronicled nearly all of the available drive-train offerings from the 350/300 all the way up to the mighty ZL1. Whew...what a year we had!
With that being said, the buzz over the 1970 model year has already brought us unprecedented response with entries for '70 model year cars coming in from all across the country and Canada. So, my point is, if you are thinking about joining us this year, especially with a '70 Muscle Machine, please let us know asap! Last year we had '69's throughout the show, with two separate area's for the Class of 1969 Invitational, a full room for the A12's and of course, separate display area's for the Corvette Legends, Post Sedan Chevelles, Buick G.S's and more. We have already confirmed nearly TEN of our Official Unveilings to be '70's, and another four from 68, 69 and '77.

With this increased demand, we will need to limit the amount of Concours and Concours Day2 entries across the board, as we are committed to maintaining our reputation with only the finest judging. And that means we don't want to overwork our esteemed judging team, not to mention Judging Supervisor Bill Braun and Sue. This also applies to our Vintage Certification and Mustang/Shelby Pinnacle competition.

And there's more: Recognizing the demand for premium judging, we are working on a new higher level judging process. Sponsored by our friends at MASCAR Classics, we will be launching  a new level of judging for those who choose to go the extra mile. This means pre-qualification, limited or no reproduction parts, factory style paint and finishes, matching numbers throughout, full documentation and more. This will not be for the faint of heart! More on this in the coming months, as this is a work in progress, but it will be launched this year!

Premier Unveilings; Once again, we are seeing increased demand for our Premier Unveilings. This is for newly restored cars that are being shown for the very first time anywhere, and uncovered Saturday morning, November 21. Last year we had to turn away five cars, as we quite honestly don't want to have cars covered for our spectators, and we know you don't want your cars covered up when the show is open! If you are considering joining us for a Premier Unveiling, please let me know asap. We balance the brands, and at this point we are sold out for Mopar and Oldsmobile Unveilings. Don't wait!

HOTEL UPDATE; The MCACN Special direct booking links are now up for the DoubleTree, the Embassy and the aLoft. Links for the Crowne Plaza and the newly added Hilton will be up real soon, as all of the contracts are signed. These are the ONLY Official Host Hotels for the MCACN show. They know who we are, what we are all about and they are excited to be a part of what we do. They offer great special rates, reduced rate parking and extra MCACN exclusive perks. Book your rooms now and be right in the middle of all the action! To book your rooms now, click here;

CAR APPLICATIONS; Although a vast majority of the cars at MCACN are directly invited by me, you can submit an application through our website by clicking here; If you would like to "pre-qualify" send clear photos and information to bashton426@gmail.com. Priority is given to cars that have not been shown with us previously and have not been shown within the past year in the Chicago area. Our primary focus is on Factory Stock and real Day2 examples of 60's and 70's American Muscle and the finest Corvettes. We do occasionally accept other cars, and even a few trucks, but they must be outstanding!

VENDOR APPLICATIONS; We are now accepting applications for AUTOMOTIVE ONLY vendors for our Commercial "B" areas. Commercial A spots are held for our previous vendors until 4-1-20. At that time, if we have any openings for Commercial "A" they will be released on a First Paid basis. Please note; NEW vendors must submit a photo of your booth. If you are not automotive related, please don't waste our time. We DO NOT accept any travel agency's, lead generation groups, home improvement companies or any scammers!

To say we are off and running would be an understatement! January was an outstanding month for us and we are looking forward to yet another Outstanding Family Friendly event, November 21-22 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois.

Please help us spread the word and keep an eye on our facebook page for regular news and updates!

THANKS!
