NEW Invitational Display to Feature 66-67 W30 442's

Let's face it...in the world of General Motors Muscle, Oldsmobile is often overlooked. We have been working on changing that by hosting some of the most recognized examples of Dr. Oldsmobile. We even stepped outside of the box a few years ago when we had the largest gathering ever of the Ram-Rods and W31's, Olds small block screamers.

Of course, we have all heard of the W30, but did you know that this top performance option was first offered in 1966? Perhaps in response to sister division Pontiacs' GTO, the W30 option included fresh air intake , some hot engine mods for the 3x2 carb 400 cubic inch engine and more. Clearly aimed at the guys that wanted to go fast in a straight line, a mere 54 were produced. In 1967, the content was expanded and production would increase to just over 500 units, making these cars among the rarest and most sought after Oldsmobile Muscle Cars ever built.

We are pleased to announce that our good friends John Kenneally and Phil Welch have been working on a very special gathering for well over a year now, with the ultimate goal to create the finest display ever of the '66 and '67 W30's. Being avid owners and historians of these cars, they have studied them for many years. Allow us to present The Syndicate Invitational, Featuring 1966 and 1967 W30 442's.

Today seeing any real-deal '66 or '67 W30 is a treat. This display will be a first and most likely the largest gathering ever of these rarely seen Oldsmobile Performance cars. Prime factory stock examples will join several historical race machines. Rest assured each and every one of them will be real and fully documented. Think about it...when was the last time you saw any '66 or '67 442, let alone a W30!

We are honored to have John and Phil on board as our Official Coordinators, as they are clearly dedicated to hosting a prime gathering with great cars and even better people. And in addition to the cars, they are gathering up some incredible related memorabilia and they have invited some special guests, who will be on hand and also talking about these cars in a round-table seminar. More on that later!

It may seem like November 2021 is a long way off, but it will be here before you know it. We are pleased to say that over 300 of the cars that were registered for our 2020 show have agreed to hang on and show with us in 2021, meaning that nearly 2/3 of the show is already full. So what this really means is that although we were deeply disappointed to have to cancel our 2020 show, 2021 will be the best, highest quality and most diversified show to date. We will have more Invitational and Special Displays, a stellar lineup of Premier Unveilings and all of the quality automotive vendors that you love to see at our show, year after year.

Sincere Thanks to all who "rolled over" your 2020 registration to 2021. Rest assured the MCACN team, along with all of our prime Official Sponsors are working hard on the 2021 show, which will take place at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (near Chicago but not IN Chicago!). Illinois. Updated Official Host Hotel booking links will be posted asap with great rates and extra perks for our participants and our spectators. Applications for cars and automotive only vendors for the 2021 show are now being accepted. Don't wait, as all areas of the show are sure to sell out sooner than ever!

Stay tuned for more exciting news and updates,

and remember to stay safe in this crazy world we live in!
