MCACN Northwest Direct From The Brothers Collection

I'm not going to lie...this has been kind of a rough week for many reasons. My mind continues to "flash back" to the mindset of loading the trailer with Emily, packing the awards, checking the signs and double checking the lists. Vicki and I would be settled into our ridiculous conference/hotel room with floor plans and files scattered all over. One by one, staff members and MCACN Members would check in, joining us from across the country and down the street. The annual and anticipated MCACN "Family Reunion." Sigh...

Whatever the "new normal" has in store for us, I know one thing for sure. We will be back in Rosemont, and we will produce the best show ever, thanks to the continued support and participation of our staff, our sponsors, our participants and YOU!

So let's talk about something that happened that truly IS positive. I am the eternal optimist, often making people scratch their heads in wonder. (yep, even Vicki!) When a challenge arises, I try my best to see what opportunities can come out of it. And that is how MCACN 2020 Northwest came to be.

As many of you already know, The Brothers Collection has been a key element of our success at MCACN. Yes...there really are two incredibly generous brothers that are as passionate about American Muscle as we are, and so much more. When we launched, a relationship was forged with these guys that would certainly help us in establishing the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals as a show unlike any other.

This Saturday, November 21, we would "normally" be immersed in the world that has become the MCACN show. Stories would be shared, cars would be coveted, friends and families would join together and new friendships would be made. And that is what MCACN is all about.

So this year, due to the ever changing world we live in, it would have been easy to throw up my hands, hide in my house, complain or just mope. Well...that is not my style. After having discussions with many like minded enthusiasts, the idea of a "Virtual" show came up. Knowing that the typical send us your pictures, vote for your favorite car and all that bla-bla just wouldn't cut it, another thought came up. What would be the next best thing, or what could we show that may just be as cool as the actual MCACN show? Well...we have the answer.

The Brothers Collection is bar-none, the absolute finest collection of American Muscle anywhere. I know that is a strong statement, but believe me, you will certainly agree. It's not just the quantity, (well over 500 cars, much like MCACN!) it is the quality and the rarity. This collection is not just a building full of shiny metal. Intense research and years of thorough planning went into the presentation and layout of this private museum. And YOU will be the first to have the opportunity to get an inside peek at what is behind those doors.

But that is just a part of it. Being huge supporters of what we do, The Brothers Collection serves as the backdrop of our MCACN theme show. It was abundantly clear that although we will be immersed within the walls of the collection, we will also be bringing you some of the many unique features of the MCACN show.

After a brief overall look at the collection, we will present TWO Premier Unveilings. A gorgeous and ultra rare example of General Motors Muscle and one of the rarest and most desirable Hemi Mopars will have the covers pulled off for the very first time after extensive restorations. Remind you of anything? Yep; tradition!

We will then have several sit-down discussions with some of the "movers and shakers" of our Hobby. MCACN Member Charley Lillard will talk about what The Brothers Collection is all about. Bob Perkins will discuss our Shelby and Mustang Pinnacle competition and our Cobra Jet Invitational display, while MCACN Judging Supervisor Bill Braun discusses all things Corvette, including our Corvette Central Triple Diamond display and competition. If you are a Mopar enthusiast, you'll enjoy hearing what Dave Wise has to say about the collection. Dave will also talk about our new higher level of judging to be called Pinnacle Plus, that we will be launching in 2021. Stefano Bimbi of Nickey Performance, another MCACN Member, will talk about one of our fastest growing areas of the show, Day2, and his thoughts on the collection. Gary Riley will talk about our Pontiac Ram Air Firebird Invitational display for 2021 while Kevin Oeste talks Buick and what we have in store for you with our 2021 Buick G.S. Invitational display. And this is just the beginning...

What will I talk about? Well, you'll have to tune in to see! For me to explain The Brothers Collection and the hospitality they extended to us is something I can't put into words. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and you all know I have no problem putting out the words. If you can imagine, I was speechless, and it literally took me several hours just to absorb what I was seeing.

And this is your opportunity to see it with your own eyes.

Our YouTube MCACNtv channel is brand new. We have already posted a couple of fun clips to kick things off. Be sure to check out The Brothers Collection intro clip with Kevin Oeste of V8TV, and the fun "behind the scenes" look of last year's MCACN show from Ian Ashton. Then on Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 pm CST, we will release our first big program, direct from The Brothers Collection. I promise you, the show will be much like MCACN, as far as the visual impact and the overwhelming Sensory Overload you will experience.

Yes...when challenges arise, we need to look for the opportunities.

Please plan on joining us, subscribe to our new MCACNtv YouTube channel, and forget about everything that causes concern, if only for an hour and a half, as I continue to live and share the dream.

With Sincere Appreciation to each and every one of you, along with The Brothers Collection, including Doug and Marty, Caretakers of The Brothers Collection.
