When it comes to promoting the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, I never have any shortage of words. While there is nothing like immersing yourself among the 550+ cars, long rows of automotive related only vendors, outstanding Official Sponsor displays and so much more, there are still some of you that need a bit more convincing to make the decision to join us in person. Perhaps being dubbed The Pebble Beach of Muscle Cars or even The Center of the Muscle Car Universe isn't enough? So this is where we need the help of our many participants.

It is often said that pictures are worth 1,000 words, and I have to agree. What amazes us when it comes to promoting what we do, is that so many people that join us with incredible cars send us, well...lousy pictures. Of course, in most cases I am familiar with the cars, as a majority are personally invited. So this is where we need some help. Most of the time when you see me at an event, I'll have my trusty Nikon with me. That's great if I do, as I'll certainly get some shots that we can use! Anyway, if you have registered for the 2025 show and received confirmation, please send me some quality photos. We are producing a wide variety of promotional materials now, which includes postcards, Tri-Folds, magnets, online and print ads and more. I always use actual cars that have either been in the show or are joining us. Fact is, we have so many cool cars and many are rarely if ever shown to the public, so this is the best incentive to draw our much needed spectators. (Not to mention its an awesome marketing tool if you ever plan to sell your car in the future)

We also use these to decide what cars will be replicated in our Auto World and Johnny Lightning Cars of MCACN series of die-cast cars. Think about it; how many times have you seen one of our facebook posts and thought, damn, I HAVE to check that one out and hear the story! And that is what it's all about.

Simple fact: The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show is totally gate dependent, meaning we need paid spectators to be viable. While the entry fees and of course sponsorships pay many of the bills, we are "in the red" until we sell admission tickets. Is this a "smart" business plan? Maybe not, but none of us started this to retire to the islands! In fact, for me the concept of retirement in any form is not on my agenda. Yeah-yeah, I never said I was the sharpest tool in the shed, but this is my life and I love it!

So...circling back, if you are showing a vehicle with us this year when we return to the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (SUBURBAN Chicago), Illinois, November 22-23, please send your best pictures (or get out there and shoot some since the weather is finally getting better) to bashton426@gmail.com.

In the event you want to know what we look for in photos and what can make or break your car being included in MCACN Promotional Materials, use these guidelines...

1. Please make sure the hood, doors and deck are closed, there are no telephone poles or trees behind the car that appear to be "growing out of the car"  and we can see the entire car with nothing chopped off. 

2. Make sure the sun is behind you and there are no shadows! A few interior or underhood shots are fine, but what we really need are good 3/4 views of the entire car. 

 3. Look for clutter even in what seems like a clear area: You might not have noticed that trash receptacle off to the left of the car or the other car in the background with someone bent over it but that kind of visual clutter diminishes the focus on the show car.

4. Actual Clutter, we know many of you sent in photos of your car from your garage or car barn and there are other cars, supplies, gas cans, Christmas decor etc in the photo, and we understand that. But now that the weather is warming up, take your baby outdoors with a good clean background and send us some new shots with no clutter.
