Your Chance to View The Brothers Collection!
This past week I had the wonderful opportunity to again visit The Brothers Collection in Oregon. As many of you know, The Brothers Collection sponsors our Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show "Red Carpet" display up front every year and they are huge supporters of what we do since our inception in 2009. We have had the honor of hosting some of the rarest and most iconic examples of American Muscle from The Brothers Collection and they have Officially Unveiled so many that were truly show-stoppers. You may remember when the cover was pulled off of the Cherokee Concept Camaro, the Prototype '69 Hurst/Olds, the early black Boss 429, numerous Mopars or maybe when Linda Vaughn pulled the cover from The Brothers 1969 Hurst/Olds convertible, when she climbed aboard the big platform that she adorned back in May of '69 at the Indianapolis 500 race! It is truly such an honor to work with them.
If you aren't familiar with The Brothers Collection, let me just say this is hands-down the most amazing collection of American Muscle and a whole lot more. In addition to the rows of Hemi cars, Shelby's, Corvettes, Pontiacs and well...you get the idea, there are also rooms devoted to Porsche, Ferrari, modern day Supercars and more. Add in a few iconic boats from Ferrari and Maserati, a pair of Mercedes Gullwings and some beautiful full classics and you have a mind blowing collection. And then there there the motorcycles, the Muscle Bicycles, incredible original art and more vintage signs than you can imagine. The list goes on and on.
Perhaps the best part of the museum is the presentation. I had the honor of writing individual signs for nearly all of the cars on display. This was so much fun and I learned a lot about the significance of each and every one, and believe me, there are too many truly special cars here that you really need to see it in person, and now you will be able to. Seeing The Brothers Collection is an experience much like the MCACN show. It looks great online or in pictures but you really need to be there in person to understand it.
Of course, one of the most common questions I am asked is "how can I see the collection" or "are they open to the public?" Well...we are pleased to announce that on August 17, The Brothers Collection will host their first annual Cruise In. You will be able to not only show off your own pride and joy, but also visit the collection in person. This is a rare opportunity as the museum is generally open just 4-5 times a year and for the most part, for special charity events and select private showings. This year they will open their doors in an effort to again support a very worthy local charity with 100% of your donation going directly to Cottages United.
Changing Lives
What is Cottages United? "It is our mission to provide seniors with an affordable home that allows them to age in place with dignity. We have created plans for a community of small, safe, affordable cottages that are tastefully designed and supported by the surrounding Swegle community."
Whenever The Brothers Collection opens for an event, every dollar generated through ticket sales is donated to a non-profit organization in Oregon. It’s important to The Brothers that the money raised here goes back to the community they love.
But wait...There's more! If you still need another reason to make the trek, we are pleased to announce that The Brothers Collection will also be hosting a very special guest (and friend of MCACN!) Courtney Hansen of Ride of Your Life and Overhaulin! Courtney joined me several years ago at The Brothers Collection and we did some video vignettes that are shown onscreen at the museum. This year she will be on hand for this very special event, meeting fans, signing autographs, posing for pictures and generally having a great time with all of us!
So mark your calendar now and please plan on joining us, Sunday, August 17. Meet Courtney, see an incredible (and diverse) collection and help out a worthy cause. There will also be additional celebrity judges, local car related vendors, food trucks and all day raffles. You can get your tickets now and learn more here: https://brotherscollection.ticketspice.com/cruise-in-2025
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world's largest all-indoor specialty show devoted to prime American Muscle of the 60's-70's along with the finest and rarest Corvettes and so much more. We fill nearly 400,000 square feet of exhibit space at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (SUBURBAN Chicago) Illinois every year the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Be Kind, Be Safe and please help us spread the word, not only about the MCACN show and what we do, but also about this awesome event in August.
