Much More Than Cars at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals!

The usual thing we talk about when writing these eblasts is obviously the cars. Of course, that makes sense since we are indeed a car show! But cars are just one part of the equation. I often say it's really the people that make our show something special, from all of you who show your awesome vehicles to our truly outstanding staff, to our much appreciated spectators. While some events ask you to not be by your car, we strongly encourage the opposite. Yes...the cars are cool and they are obviously what get us all together at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (SUBURBAN Chicago!) Illinois, but we want to hear and have you share the stories. That is what it's all about. Sharing the stories, and the memories and even more importantly, making new memories, reconnecting with old friends and making new ones!

So that is what I consider the top priority. But let's talk about a few of the non car things we have going on. How about our just for fun Muscle Bicycle display, presented by Koolestuff. Talk about reliving memories! These two-wheeled Hot Rods are what got many of us into the hobby. Who remembers riding around the neighborhood and spotting the first (insert your favorite) Muscle Car? I remember that Monaco Orange '69 L88 Corvette from up the street, (a GM Tech Center employee!) like it was yesterday. I'd stop when I heard him fire it up, (he lived about a block up the street) and wait for him to slowly drive by, while I sat patiently on my Sting Ray.

And of course, speaking of two-wheels, we always have some reallly neat vintage Mini Bikes in the show, with yet another special display Presented by Koolestuff. Recently we added some fun 4-wheeled off road vehicles to the mix and even a few quads and three-wheelers, like the neat red Honda ATC.

Seminars and Panel Discussions: Another fun addition, these talks always bring together many of the "movers and shakers" of our hobby. Racers, restorers and what I enjoy the most, our Meet the Future young enthusiasts panel. If you need a bit of inspiration or maybe a good laugh, please plan on checking these out, as they run Saturday after the Premier Unveilings and Sunday before the awards presentation. And speaking of Saturday...how much fun was it last year with our two awesome bands? This really livened things up and we will do it again! Stay tuned for details on that and I can also say you will find an expanded VIP Lounge, Presented by RBC.

And then we have our Chicago Music Exchange display. Much like the MCACN show, Andrew Yonke, owner of CME, and a Shelby owner/enthusiast, is always searching for the rarest of the rare and the best of the best and boy does he find it! This very special display features actual stage used Rock and Roll gear, prime vintage guitars and amps that you can purchase, and so much more. And the CME crew always has some very special guests joining them! Seriously; nothing goes together better than Muscle Cars and Rock and Roll!

I guess my point here is that while we often talk about all the great cars (and owners!) we host every year, there really is a whole lot more to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show. Please plan on joining us Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22. We are committed to presenting the freshest and best possible show, and we also pride ourselves in presenting a variety of unexpected extras to keep it interesting.

Please help us spread the word by telling anyone you know. We also ask that you share our social media posts and join in with your comments. We can't do it without you!

Be Safe, Be Nice and live each and every day to the fullest as you never know what tomorrow may bring.
