MUSCLE CAR AND CORVETTE NATIONALS ROLLS OUT NEW WEBSITE
You will often hear me say that the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show will always be a "work in progress". If there is anything I've learned over the years when it comes to producing a truly world class event, it's that we always need to be observant, listen to our spectators and our participants and keep an open mind. With that being said, allow us to introduce our new from the ground up website! www.mcacn.com
To say I am pleased and excited would be a major understatement. Sure...the old site did the job but we knew it didn't truly reflect what our show is all about. We simply have so much going on that it is nearly impossible to create a website that is easily navigable, looks great and tells our story. Well, thanks to Creative Strategist/Publication Designer Kelly Buren, she nailed it! I can't begin to express how many hours went into this over the past months. Between figuring out the best overall appearance to making sure it is easy to find what you want, I am sure you will be pleased. There are so many pages and so much information contained within, that you can only imagine what a monumental task this has been.

Some of you may recognize the name Kelly Buren name, as I created both the In Search of the Holy Grail and the In Search of the WINGED Holy Grail books with Kelly. Simply put, she "gets it" and has the creative eye to get the message across in a simple yet attractive way. So...please take some time to check out the new website and let us know what you think. We will be adding to the show features, author and celebrity guest pages, photo galleries and creating additional features, so be sure to check back on a regular basis.

CHICAGOLAND MOPAR CONNECTION BELVIDERE MOPAR HAPPENING SHOW AND SWAP; This weekend we head out to Belvidere, Illinois for the 35th Annual Mopar Happening. This is one we look forward to all year, as it is hosted by the Chicagoland Mopar Connection. This is really three shows in one that take place Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19. Saturday the spotlight falls on the Dodge Chargers of all generations, Modern Mopars and of course, darn near anything else that wears a Pentastar. Sunday is the big day, with a field full of everything from Classics to Muscle Cars to trucks to...well you never know what may show up. They also have music, prize drawings and a Model Car contest. We are honored to have a number of CMC members as MCACN staff members and Judges, and they are huge supporters of what we do. THANK YOU CMC!

CARLISLE CHRYSLER NATIONALS: Congrats go out to the Carlisle Events team, led by Ed Buczeskie, on another outstanding event last week. The weather was great, (other than a brief shower Saturday, but hey...it's Carlisle!). You won't hear me complain about the heat as it's July in Pennsylvania. Carlisle Events is one of our Official MCACN Sponsors; please support those who support what we all love and check out their events calendar since their season isn't over yet! We locked in some great cars, met with several of our Special Guests and we will be talking about several NEW things that we confirmed while I was out there.

Once again we are hearing that there are people out there saying they represent or are authorized to solicit your hotel business for the upcoming Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show. THIS IS B.S. We do not allow or need ANY outside companies or people to represent us. We work directly with each of our SEVEN Official Host Hotels to secure the absolute best rates, MCACN exclusive extra perks and reduced rate parking for all of our spectators and participants. Rates start at just $149.00 per night at the Hyatt and at the Crowne Plaza, and both are literally directly across the street. We also have availability at the aLoft and the Leows, which are a few blocks away and at the Hilton, also right across the street. The DoubleTree and the Embassy Suites are now sold out and we do not have any extra "hidden" extra rooms so please don't ask.
