One of the key elements of success for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show is our truly outstanding Official Sponsors. Our Official Sponsors must maintain the same integrity and commitment to the hobby that we have for the MCACN show. With that being said, we are pleased to announce our newest Official Sponsor, Vans Auto out of Waupun, Wisconsin. Now those of you who attend the various major Mopar events already know these guys, as they specialize in great parts at great prices for your Mopar, whether it is a B-body, E-body or even a C-body. So here is their story; Digging in a scrap yard for old ‘68 Charger parts, Tom and Duane found something that would change their lives forever. A Chance Meeting of Gearheads. In 1995, years before their discovery, Tom and Duane met at a swap meet in Iola, WI. Tom was a door finisher with a knack for sales, while Duane was a maintenance mechanic at a cheese factory. Both were lifelong gearheads. They quickly became friends and combined their knowledge of Mopars to start a joint effort buying and selling parts on a very small scale.
Vans Bets Big on Reproduction Parts…and Wins
In 2004, Vans introduced their first new line of parts: door handles and new window cranks for the ‘63-’66 Mopars. They also attended their first show in a Chrysler minivan with two card tables with a few NOS & reproduction parts. In 2005, when prices for scrap quadrupled, they sold most of their unwanted salvage cars (mainly GM and Ford) and used that money to fund their growing reproduction parts business. Well...that was over 20 years ago, and now they run one of the largest Mopar parts businesses in the country! We are honored to have Tom and Duane and the Vans Auto crew on board, and we encourage you to spend some time meeting them and checking out their vast inventory.
Muscle Car Adventures, September 9-11; OK, so the kids may be back in school, but the season for enjoying your car outdoors isn’t over yet! The 4th Annual Muscle Car Adventures at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Sponsored by MCACN Official Sponsor, Nickey Performance, is geared up for their best event to date. The list of driving tours and events has expanded, and they have a variety of road tours throughout the Wisconsin Dells area that are just plain fun. Of course, you will see plenty of great Nickey cars on the tour, but it is open to all Muscle Cars, both modern and vintage, along with Corvettes. We have had the pleasure of enjoying this event several times over the past few years and we highly recommend signing up. MODERN MUSCLE AT MCACN; And speaking of Modern Muscle...we have limited openings for our Show within a Show featuring the best in tastefully modified examples of Modern Muscle, from 1982-2017. Once again we will have a special area with three individual blocks of 13 cars each, one for Ford, one for G.M. and one for Mopars. The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world’s largest All Indoor specialty show devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars and the rarest and finest Corvettes. We will again host over 550 prime examples of American Muscle filling nearly 400,000 square feet at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois, just minutes from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. We are often called “The Pebble Beach of Muscle Cars” so please plan on joining us Saturday, November 19, from 9 am – 9 pm, and Sunday, November 20, from 9 am – 5 pm.
