Carlisle Chrysler Nationals THIS WEEK
This week we head to one of our favorite events of the year; the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. Celebrating their 51st year of producing truly outstanding events, they are geared up to celebrate Chryslers 100th Anniversary with a very special display and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Expect to see as many as 3,000 Mopars of every generation, dating back to the beginning. Across from the fairgrounds at the Carlisle Expo Center it will be packed with an historical overview of 100 years of Chrysler and surrounding the Expo Center will be rows of additional Chrysler products. Some very special guests will be on hand too.
Head across the street to the sold out swap meet, an awesome midway, a sold out Car Corral for sale area and row after row of cars. One of the things that we love about the Carlisle Events is the organization and layout. If you want to see Survivors, head to the Survivor tent. Check out the special features in the buildings which include an AAR and T/A 55th Anniversary Reunion. A12's will be together in the show field and they even have a featured Neon Anniversary display! Now that is diversity.
You will see lots of Friends of MCACN there, including Jim Kramer, Paul Rossi, Buddy Martin, Herb McCandless, Butch Leal, Joe Pappas and Ted Spehar and we just heard that Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell will be doing a "Fireside Chat" on the main stage Friday at 1:30. And speaking of chats, they will have seminars on Wing Cars, the T/A's and AAR's, a Restorers Roundtable and of course, members of the Ramchargers and Golden Commandos and Miss Direct Connection Claudia Abel will also be there. As always, there will be a wide variety of kid-friendly activities going on too, so bring the kiddos along and help us all keep this hobby growing.

The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals will take place July 11-13. The gates open at 7am and trust me...you need to get there early and spend all three days and you still won't be able to catch it all. I will be bopping around with my trusty Nikon shooting cars that have already registered for the upcoming MCACN show, November 22-23 and as always, looking for the best of the best and the rarest of the rare, especially if rarely shown.
