Appreciating Our Independence...and Our Military Members, Past & Present
Last week we acknowledged our friends from north of the border. This week we let freedom ring by embracing both Independence Day, July 4, and the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Military Appreciation special display, Presented by The Kultgen Family.
Allow us to again hit up Wikipedia for a brief summary of what this holiday is all about; Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States which commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.
It actually isn't all about fireworks, bar-b-q's and cold beer! Of course, with any luck you and your family and friends will be able to gather around the firepit to enjoy a few cold ones, perhaps a burger or better yet, jump into that prime example of American Muscle and burn up some rubber along with some sweet smelling high octane fuel.
Of course, one of the awesome benefits of our independence is the ability to enjoy the many freedoms we have. I won't get political here, but we all know that there is no place in the world that allows more access and opportunity than the good old U.S.A. so be sure to take some time to appreciate that fact...
MCACN MILITARY APPRECIATION Salute to the Military special display, Presented by The Kultgen Family with a whole new group of vehicles. Brent and Jeff Kultgen wanted to show their appreciation for the many past and present members of our military that also share our love of American Muscle. Several years ago they approached us with the idea of extending the invitation to these fine ladies and gentlemen with a special display area. This is just a small way we can all say THANK YOU and spotlight some cool cars! Please join us in showing some appreciation, as without these fine folks things certainly would be different. And if you are a past or present member of any branch of the military, please consider joining us with your special car. You will easily spot the Military Appreciation display by looking for the Red, White and Blue American "feather" flags! If you are a past or present member of the Military, we would love to have you as part of this very special gathering. Please send pictures and information to bashton426@gmail.com. 2024 MCACN Salute To Our Military Invitational
MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23: Speaking of our Military Members, did you know that Sunday is always Military Appreciation Day at the MCACN show? Well...allow us to explain.
Every year the MCACN team extends an invitation to all of our past and present enlisted Military Personnel. We will allow FREE admission on Sunday (only) to all who were enlisted in the past, retired past enlisted and presently enlisted military personnel who show their Uniformed Services Identification Card at our will call table in the lobby.
This offer applies to the the military member card-holder only.
Free Military Entry FAQ:
I served many years ago in the military, am I qualified? Yes if you have a Uniformed Services ID Card or a Drivers License with a Veteran designation.
Can my wife and friends get in for FREE because they are with me? No, sorry, only the actual Military Personnel will get free entry, all others will have to purchase tickets.
Just another way for us to acknowledge your service and sacrifice in the name of the good old U.S.A.
