1971 GTO 455 HO
Class of ‘71 Invitational
Participant
Owners; Dan & Julie McGuire
January may be known as the big month for car
auctions, but for those of us into Muscle,
Dana Mecum’s Spring Classic is always a
must do event. Whether you are buying or selling,
with 2,000 vehicles crossing the block between May
17-21 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, this is
the place to be.
Mecum Auctions
is the leader and we are proud to have them on
board as or Official Title Sponsor.
Who could forget the incredible display the
Mecum Auctions team had at our
2015 show? Several Hemi and 6-pack B and E-body
Mopar convertibles, a ‘69 Trans Am convertible, a
Superbird with under 1,000 miles along with
several COPO’s, Yenko’s and Boss Mustangs were
among the featured cars, and Dana and his team
have since sold nearly every one of them. We can’t
wait to see what they have in store for us this
year, when we return to the Donald E. Stephens
Convention Center, November 19-20! Yes indeed,
they know how to get results so if you’re in the
market, you really need to talk to the
Mecum Auctions team.
The MCACN crew will be onsite at the auction with
a display to talk about our show. We have some
great things happening, so please make a point of
stopping by, or stopping me if I happen
to be running by! We will be accepting
applications for cars, muscle bicycles and
automotive related vendors. If you are considering
joining us, don’t hesitate, as we are filling all
area’s of our show faster than ever, and it
certainly is not too soon. And remember, if you
aren’t able to see us in Indy, you can submit your
application online through our website
right now. Enter
soon because prices increase on June 1, 2016.
SPECIAL
DISPLAYS; Our Invitational and Special
displays are filling fast and the cars that will
be in these displays are absolutely incredible. As
always, we have many cars that are seldom (if
ever) shown and many that are being shown for the
very first time after extensive
restorations. To see what special displays we have
in store for you this year,
Take
a look and if you have an outstanding example for
one of these displays, please send pictures and
information asap to
bashton426@gmail.com for consideration.
We strictly limit the amount of cars in these
displays and we’re looking for the best of the
best, the rarest of the rare and we
especially love seeing vehicles that are “off the
radar” or seldom shown. Of course, if you own a
prime example of massively overpowered American
Muscle that does not match one of these
displays, we would still love to have you join us!
With over 500 cars on the show floor, we are
looking for all makes and models of real
factory muscle, so please consider joining us this
year.

MODERN
MUSCLE;
Last year we launched our all new
Modern Muscle section.
The response was outstanding, and we are pleased
to host this special gathering again for 2016 with
a whole new group of cars. With just 39 cars total
from 1984 to present in this section, it will be
one of the first area’s of the show to be sold
out. We will feature three separate blocks, each
holding 13 cars; one block for GM, one block for
Mopars and one featuring Fords. We have already
received some truly outstanding entries, so if you
want to be a part of the MCACN show and be on the
inside, click here to submit your
entry now;
This area is for tastefully modified examples or
uncommon special editions, not for factory stock
late models.
Hoping to see
many of you in Indy, stop by and let’s talk MCACN.
NEXT WEEK;
Announcing a Very Special Guest; think Indy
500...and Pikes Peak!
