David Snyder Introduces “It’s
Fun”...Something Really Different!
I’m not sure if the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals “show within a show”
featuring Muscle Bicycles, Sponsored by
Koolestuff
was the inspiration, but I do know that
in addition to being a real car guy, long time MCACN Official Sponsor and
supporter
David Snyder is also a real bike guy! You
see, back in the day, Dave spent some time working at his local Schwinn
dealer in Ohio. Yes, he assembled a number of bikes that we all wish we
owned. (OK...some of us do own them! lol). We have swapped stories about
bikes for years, and I was thrilled to hear of his latest offering, “It’s
Fun.”
Known for his depictions of times gone by, David's art portrays memories of
growing up with cars (and now bikes!) from the '50's through the American
Muscle era. He takes you down memory lane inviting you to "step right in" to
his paintings and visit the past. The period architecture, signage, oil cans
in the garage bay - no detail is too small-are all a part of his passion.
Known for fidelity of detail he spends countless hours on research before
beginning a painting.
The original painting for It’s Fun has already been sold, but the Limited
Edition run of just 500 prints is available right now
here. And of course, if not sold out, at
the MCACN show in the David Snyder Art display. Each print is signed and
numbered and measures 22” x 28”. Price is $100.00 plus shipping. I also
understand that our Muscle Bike “Show within a Show” Official Sponsor, Gary
Wold of
Koolestuff will have these available at the upcoming Ann Arbor,
Michigan Bicycle show,
Sunday, April 30. Of course, this is just one example of David’s fine
work, and no matter what make or model you prefer, whether Muscle, Exotic or
even Bicycles, he has the bases covered, so take some time to check out his
website and of course, his display at our show.
Pictures Needed; As most of you know, when we create promotional materials
for the MCACN show, we always use either cars that have been shown with us
or cars that are officially registered with us this year. We never use
generic pics from the web or anything that is not actually a part of our
show. With that being said, it is amazing how many people that own great
cars have lousy photos. Of course, I personally invite quite a few of the
cars that join us, and I nearly always have my trusty Nikon with me, but
sometimes we accept cars through our online application or a referral from
someone we trust. If you have entered a car or bicycle and gave us subpar
pictures, we cant let everyone know about it and we aren’t likely to use it
in our ads, flyers, on our facebook page or most importantly, in our new 84
page full color magazine. So if you have already signed up, please send your
best pictures to bashton426@gmail.com, even if you already sent us
something. If you haven’t signed up yet, we are now accepting
applications
and have in fact already processed well over 100 entries from 19 different
states and Saskatchewan!
Whether it fits in with one of our Special or Invitational displays or not,
if it is a prime example of massively overpowered American Muscle or is a
“best of the best” Corvette or even an unusual Barn Find with a great story,
we hope you will consider joining us. Since we pride ourselves in presenting
a fresh show every year with minimal repeats, we give priority to vehicles
that are rarely, if ever shown. To submit your entry now, click
here.
(Prices increase soon)
Vendor Renewals and New Vendors; We recently sent out the Returning Vendors
Same Space renewal form.
As always, we hold same spaces
for returning vendors until 4-15. After that, all remaining spots are
released on a first paid basis. For new vendors, you can submit your
application now by clicking
here. Remember, to be a vendor
with us you must be automotive related. We are not interested and will not
accept any travel agencies, headset hawkers, home improvement companies or
other non car related businesses, so please don’t ask!
Next Week;
Let’s talk about Vegas, Baby! Muscle Cars at the Strip takes place April
21-23, and they are now accepting applications
here.
I’ll be there!
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world’s largest all indoor
specialty show devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars and the finest
and rarest Corvettes. We will again fill nearly 400,000 square feet of
exhibit space at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in
Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois, just minutes from the Chicago O’Hare
Airport. We will host over 500 of the best of the best along with 200
automotive related vendor spots filled to capacity. Muscle Car Review
magazine recently called us “The center of the Muscle Car universe” so
please plan on joining us, Saturday, November 18, and Sunday, November 19.
