Rave Reviews
Of course, I love seeing all of the
great coverage of the Muscle Car and
Corvette Nationals show online. It
seems like every year, we see more and
more, and that is really rewarding and
humbling. Being a bit of an “old
school” guy, another thing that puts a
smile on my face is getting one of my
favorite magazines in my mail box and
seeing print coverage. Even better is
hitting my local Barnes & Noble or
Walmart and seeing a bunch of
magazines with MCACN coverage! Last
week I stopped by B&N and have to say
I was a bit overwhelmed to find FIVE
different magazines on the rack with
full features. Even better is knowing
there are more to come. With that
being said, allow me to spotlight a
few of them;
Muscle Car Review, March 2017.This
one is almost a MCACN issue! On the
cover is the incredible ‘70 Chevelle
Pilot car that was shown with us, and
on page 26 is David Beems LS6 Chevelle
that was in our Vintage Certification
area in 2015. There is a full feature
on the outstanding ‘70 W-30 442
restored by MASCAR that stole the
show, and when you flip to page 42,
you’ll see “Great at 8” with some
really cool pictures. Allow me to
quote; “MCACN is the Center of the
Muscle Car Universe.” Whew! Thanks go
out to Arvid Svendsen and Drew Hardin,
who are huge supporters and advocates
of what we do.
Mopar Muscle, May 2017;
What could be better than a full
feature on the MCACN show? How about
TWO of them in one issue! Geoff
Stunkard knocked it out of the park
with this one, with help from Dale
Mathews. First up is a feature titled
“22 Coolest Mopars from MCACN” with
stories and pics of each and every one
of them. Then, flip over to page 70 to
read “Top Drop Tops” which spotlights
all 27 of the Hemi E-Body convertibles
we played host to in 2015. A definite
must have issue!
Hemmings Muscle Machines, March 2017;
Once again, we are truly honored to have a full feature in this awesome
magazine. Titled “The Greatest Hits; There were no B sides at the Muscle Car
and Corvette Nationals biggest show ever.” Barry Klucyk did a great job of
explaining what we’re all about and Gary Gerstner added some truly
outstanding photos to take it over the top. This feature has a whopping 29
different photos, so it does a great job of capturing some of the excitement
that was in the air.
Performance Mopars Chrysler Power,
April 2017; Our friend Roland Osborne has been
dealing with some pretty heavy health issues, but he made sure we got some
ink by sending out Scott Smith. This one takes a different approach with a
feature titled “The verdict is in with the Mopar Judge at MCACN.” You see,
Scott was a part of our Mopar judging team, so in addition to some great
photos, he also gives a bit of an “inside peek” at what goes on behind the
scenes. Neat stuff, Scott, and get better soon, Roland!
Poncho Perfection, February 2017;
Hopefully by now you know our good friend Don Keefe launched a brand new
Pontiac magazine last year titled Pontiac Perfection. He is doing a great
job, and if you wondered if we had Pontiacs at the show, you have to see
this issue! In addition to the feature story, you’ll find 30 beautiful
photos of Pontiacs that were at our show. Don is a guy who “get’s it” and
has been a huge supporter of what we do since our inception.

Mopar Collectors Guide, April 2017;
Robert Wolf is another who “get’s it” and has been on board with us since
the start. You’ll remember that before the show, MCG devoted an entire issue
to cars that were preparing to show with us. Well in this issue, each and
every car feature is something from our show. Several of these features were
shot right onsite by Tim Costello, once again proving that if you want your
car featured in a national magazine, MCACN is the place. We really
appreciate the continued support, and we are already talking about what we
are doing with MCG for the 2017 show. Thanks Rob Wolf and Tim Costello!
All of these features will be online on our
website, along with well over
100 more full features dating back to 2009. We truly appreciate the
continued support from the national media and look forward to many more
years and many more features. Oh...and speaking of more features, look for
the next TWO issues of
Muscle Car Review for features on our Vintage
Certification (April issue) and our Barn Finds and Hidden Gems, (May issue)
another from our friends from north of the border at
V8 Passion and also
Bone Stock magazine, and Mustang coverage from
Mustang Monthly. Please show
your support by subscribing to these awesome magazines and letting them know
we all appreciate the coverage. Congrats to all who received some well
deserved attention.
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world’s largest all indoor
specialty show devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Super Cars and the
finest and rarest Corvettes. We will again fill nearly 400,000 square feet
of exhibit space at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in
Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois, just minutes from the Chicago O’Hare
airport. Applications are now being accepted for cars and automotive only
vendors, and Official Host Hotels are now accepting reservations with some
really great deals
