We Head to "Mopar" Nationals This Week!
OK, so I understand that technically, the name is The Nationals, but we all know what it really is. Being the 39th annual event, we always look forward to having a blast, spreading the word about MCACN and seeing old friends. If it's Mopar related, whether a show car, a driver, new or old, it will be here. And there is always great stuff in the swap meet and midway! We will be in our usual spot, right on the end of Row Zero, across from the Nationals merchandise tent. Look for the MCACN banners, and stop by for a cold water and let me tell you about what we have in store for you when we return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois, November 23-24. And boy...do we have stuff happening!
So, what will you see at The Nationals? Row after row of Mopars of course, days of non stop drag racing action, the aforementioned swap meet and midway vendors, some seminars, the Survivor Tent and so much more. This really is a social event as much as a car show, and I look forward to attending every August. As always, I will have a variety of original Mopar memorabilia in our tent from my old business, Auto-Know, including original ads, brochures, magazines, model cars and promo models, Hot Wheels and of course Johnny Lightning cars too, including a limited amount of our own Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals specials. And here is a bonus for anyone attending that reads this; mention this E-blast and I'll give you a MCACN Steven Juliano 10th Anniversary poster and a MCACN X Sticker. Hey...we want to see you there, so grab an ice cold water, snag some swag, help us spread the word and have a blast!
Oh...and one other thing; we will again be Sponsoring the Nationals Model Car Contest on Saturday, so bring your models and you just may take home a trophy for your efforts. And even if you don't, you will earn the respect of many who come to check this out. Registration for the model contest is Saturday morning with awards at 3ish, so now you have another reason to visit us!
MCACN Host Hotels Update; If you are wondering if it is too early to lock in your rooms for MCACN, the answer is NO! We came dangerously close to selling out at The Embassy already but we expanded our block, and we are down to about 20 rooms at the DoubleTree. Of course, once these are sold out, we have availability at the Crowne Plaza, the aLoft and the Hyatt, so not to worry! However...please don't ask if we have any "extra" rooms at the DoubleTree or the Embassy when they are sold out, as we don't! Here is a direct link with all the information to book your rooms now. We have worked hard to secure great rates with extra perks at all FIVE of our Official Host Hotels, and all are conveniently located withing walking distance of the show, with four being right across the street.
Looking For...We are accepting applications through our website for cars, but as expected, some classes are already full. Most of our Special and Invitational displays are all set, but we have a few openings for select Barn Finds & Hidden Gems, Triple Diamond Corvettes, Vietnam Veterans special display and Class of 1969. If your car doesn't fit one of our special displays, let us know what it is, as we strive to have a balanced show full of prime American Muscle and the best Corvettes, especially those that have not been shown in the Chicagoland area.
