MCACN Annual Magazine Returns for 2021
Since the inception of the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show back in 2009, we have produced a quality full color magazine, filled with stories and features for the upcoming show. When we started, it was about 60 pages. For our most recent show, it expanded to 84 pages, and even at that, it just touched the surface of what we had in store for the show. Well...I am happy to say we are hard at work on the 2021 edition, which is sure to get your heart pumping for the show, when we return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, November 20-21.
To say we are anxious is an understatement, and the level of enthusiasm for our return is off the map. Of course, being able to celebrate and commemorate both 1970 and 1971 gives us a great start, but that just scratches the surface. We will also be hosting the largest gathering ever under one roof of the ultra rare 1966 and 1967 W30 442's, a Ford & Mercury Cobra Jet Invitational display with some truly unexpected surprises, the return of REAL Day2 with a whole new group of "the way they really were" cars, our Ram Air Firebird Invitational, a Pro Stock Invitational display and more. Of course, the Barn Finds & Hidden Gems presented by Miller Auto Care and Stock Restorations & Restomods, Corvette Legends, Vintage Certification and our Corvette Central Triple Diamond display and certification return, again with all new cars, and our Red Carpet display up front will feature General Motors "Top Dogs" which are Chevy LS6's, Pontiac Ram Airs, Oldsmobile W30's and Buick Stage 1's with a entire row of convertibles on one side, hardtops on the other. And to add to the 1970 mystique, we have our Buick G.S. Invitational and Dodge Challenger T/A & AAR 'cuda Invitational, Hosted by The Wellborn Muscle Car Museum. And that's not all...
We are working on our new magazine now, which will be mailed out in mid October, just in time to get you excited about the show. It will spotlight our fine Sponsors, talk about Premier Unveilings and cover the many features for the kids, our Muscle Bicycle and Mini Bike displays, our new Muscle Snowmobile display (really!), the classic MX Motorcycle display hosted by Jeff Schwarz, our awesome vendors and so much more. Advertising; YES, we have limited availability for you to advertise your automotive related business. Rates start at just $100 for a business card size ad and we have quarter, half and limited full page ad space available. Don't hesitate, as we limit the amount of ads since we have so much to share about what is in the show! For ad information and to reserve your ad space, click here; We invoice you after the magazine is printed, but need your ad order by 6-1, although we may sell out before then!
Car Entry; As expected, we are close to being full (sold out) for car entries already. Each year we fill the 500+ openings faster, and since we were unable to have a show in 2020, we knew this was bound to happen. The good news is that this will be the freshest and most diversified show we have ever produced. No matter what make or model you may lean toward, you will be blown away. We also have more first time shown cars than ever and have even "sold out" on Premier Unveiling slots. While we do have a few more openings, we are looking for the best of the best, the rarest of the rare and the unexpected to fill those spots. PICTURES, Pictures, we NEED your pictures! So every year this is a challenge for us, and more than ever this year. If you have already entered and have been accepted for the 2021 MCACN show, please send us as many quality pictures as you can. We use these to get the word out about the show. As we all know, pictures are worth a thousand words! Get your car out, close the doors, hood and decklid and get the sun behind you. Make sure the entire car is in the frame, and unless you are an exceptionally attractive lady, stay out of the pictures. We only use pictures of actual cars that will be in the show in our magazine, for our print ads, for the billboards, postcards, magnets and our facebook page. I update our facebook page nearly every day, and we do a LOT of promotion all year long, so help us out by sending your best to bashton426@gmail.com. And of course, if you see me at a show and you have your car there, let me know as I always travel with my trusty Nikon!
Remember, we are gearing up for Dana Mecums Spring Classic in Indy, (I'll be set up Wednesday-Saturday) and also the Bloomington Gold Corvette, and now Camaro(!) event in Indy and more, so stay tuned on where we will be.
As always, we welcome your ideas and feedback. We will be working with the CDC, the State of Illinois and the City of Rosemont to produce the safest environment for you, your family, friends and of course our participants and staff. Get out there and support the events that are coming back and share your passion for this great hobby whenever you get the chance!
