Excitement Builds For Our Return to Rosemont

Over the past few weeks we had several very important meetings. First, we met with the "Powers that Be" In Rosemont. To say they are excited for our return is a major understatement. Of course, we discussed safety protocols and how we can create the safest atmosphere while not cutting down on everyone's fun. And that is what we will do. You will see some wider aisles, plenty of hand washing stations, free masks and expanded cleaning of all areas throughout the show. From Donald E. Stephens Convention Center Management to all of our Official Host Hotels, they are welcoming us back with open arms. While there is a mandatory mask mandate for indoor events today, we are hoping that this may end by the time of our show, as Illinois and Cook County are doing really well with numbers steadily declining. And if it doesn't, we hope you will still consider joining us. The MCACN show is totally "gate dependent" meaning that we need to sell spectator tickets to survive. That is the bottom line, so please plan on joining us Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21. We also held our annual local staff meeting, and again, our team is excited, geared up and ready.

We have our largest field ever of Premier Unveilings, (25!), more Special and Invitational displays and the most balanced event brand wise ever. No matter what make or model you prefer, we have the bases covered. With participants joining us this year from nearly 40 states and YES; Canada! We are honored and humbled by the continued support of the Muscle Car and Corvette community. I often say our show is "The Great Equalizer", as most check their egos at the door. No matter what your bank balance is or how many cars are in your garage, we all come together on the same playing field to share stories, show and look at the cars and most importantly, have fun, renew friendships, make new friends and make and relive memories! And that is what it's all about.

One More Reason to Attend the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals 2021

In the Oldsmobile world, the W30 option represents the peak of performance. What you may not know is that this ultra high performance offering started in 1966. A mere 54 left the Lansing, Michigan Assembly plant in '66 making real documented examples among the rarest and most desirable Oldsmobiles ever made. 1967 saw an increase in production to 503 cars, but even today seeing a real-deal '66 or '67 W30 is a treat. The Olds Syndicate Display will be a first and most likely the largest gathering ever of these rarely seen Oldsmobile Performance cars. Prime factory stock examples will join several historical race machines. This display is dedicated to the memory of Lloyed Woodland and Bob Andresen. Woody who drove the '66 Brainbeau Olds 442 and Bobby the meticulous machinist, engine builder and tuner. Together they charged through the 44 car U.S. Nationals field to capture the 1966 NHRA C/Stock Championship. It was through their efforts which put Oldsmobile officially in drag racing annals.
