 REAL Day2; Another MCACN Exclusive

We are gearing up to make up for lost time for the upcoming Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, Saturday, November 20, and Sunday, November 21. We have a lot going on, so over the next few weeks I will be giving you even more reasons to join us. We are working directly with the City of Rosemont to provide the safest and most comfortable setting, and with your help, it is sure to be another outstanding and FUN event.

I like to give you plenty of reasons to join us, and today I want to talk about our REAL Day2 Invitational display, a MCACN Exclusive. When we launched the show back in 2009, we recognized the need to acknowledge the efforts of those who go the Day2 route. You see, cars that were modified "back in the day" were generally grouped in with any other modified car. With REAL Day2 cars, there is a whole lot more that goes into it. Day2, which includes REAL Yenko, Nickey, Mr. Norms, Baldwin-Motion and cars that owners modified fresh from the showroom floor are prime examples. Many people invest the time and take considerable effort restoring these cars to exactly as they were "back in the day" and today, many are among the most sought after examples of American Muscle ever built. We all know the value of a Yenko Camaro, but let's not forget the cars from Harrell, Randall and many others! And of course, how many of us drove directly from the dealership to the garage to install mags, big tires, side pipes and maybe even some wild custom paint? THAT is what REAL Day2 is all about!

While many of our Day2 participants take part in our intensive Concours Day2 judging, others choose to share their rides just for the sheer fun of it. While we usually change up our special and invitational displays every year, Day2 is so popular that we will again host a REAL Day2 Invitational display, but with a whole new group of these awesome cars. And yes, Nickey, Yenko, Baldwin-Motion and owner modified cars will be well represented! Make a point of checking out these beauties and step back in time...if even for just a little while. And here's another reason; one of our Premier Unveilings this year is the very first 1967 427 Yenko Super Camaro! See the cover pulled off after an extensive full restoration for the very first time Saturday morning!
