MCACN Crew Heads to Belvidere, Illinois for 31st CMC Event!
We often talk about supporting those who support what we all do. When we can do this and have a ton of fun, that is a great thing. This weekend we head to Belvidere, Illinois for the 31st Chicagoland Mopar Connection show and swap. We have seen this one grow over the years, from a single day show with about 50 cars and a dozen swappers to the two day event, with row after row of beautiful Mopars! And the Swap and Car Corral have also grown substantially. Saturday features Modern Muscle and also the Midwest Charger meets, which are pretty much "Shows within the Show" with special judging and awards, while Sunday is wide open with all kinds of prime Mopar Muscle.
We are honored to have many of the CMCC Members on our MCACN team, as both staff members and judges. Of course, Roger and Dianne Schmeling also coordinate a stellar group of cars that changes every year for the MCACN Mopar Alley area of the show. This has also expanded over the years, with cars joining us from all across the country. We truly appreciate the hard work that so many of the CMC Members bring, both at the MCACN show and for this weekend's festivities.
We will have a display set up in our usual spot inside the main building. Don't forget to stop by our booth and say hello to Mark Sekula of MCACN Official Sponsor Magnum Restorations who always sets up with an awesome car directly across from our spot.
C'mon out, check out some great cars and the swap and see what we have in store for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, November 19-20. As many of you know, our MCACN "Red Carpet" display will be featuring some of the rarest and most desirable Dodge Daytonas and Plymouth Superbirds, and in fact, the response has been so strong, we will also feature a second Aero Car special display Sponsored by The Wellborn Muscle Car Museum! Another new feature, Hosted by CMC Member Brad Schroeder, is our Malaise Era Muscle Invitational. With the spotlight on 1973-1987 Muscle, you will once again be treated to some truly unexpected cars. Add in our Class of '67 and Class of 1971 Anniversary displays and so many others and you see where we're going! It is going to be another stellar year for the MCACN show...and we can't wait to tell you all about it.

PICTURES NEEDED! I am well into writing and putting together our new MCACN Magazine. As always, having enough GOOD quality pictures of cars that are being shown with us is a challenge. I'll have my trusty Nikon with me this weekend, so if you have officially entered, please chase me down to photograph it. If you are planning on entering, see Vicki to lock in your registration this weekend. We are filling the show in ALL areas faster than ever, and in fact several of our Special Displays and classes are already full. If you are not joining us this weekend and have already entered, please send me as many GOOD pictures of your car as you can. Cars need to be photographed with the hoods and doors closed, with the sun behind you when you shoot. Pay attention to the background, as we don't want trees or telephone poles growing out of the roof and please make sure all of the car is in the frame. Send your pictures to bashton426@gmail.com. We ONLY use actual cars and trucks that are properly registered and accepted to the MCACN show in our ads, magazine, facebook, twitter and instagram posts and other applications.
