An Invitation to the Gilmore Muscle Car Meetup

If there is one thing I know, it's that one of the key ingredients of the success of the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show is making sure we are "out there" spreading the word. People often ask how we find all of the great cars and awesome people that make the MCACN show so special, and the answer is simple; we are always involved in shows, swaps and all kinds of automotive activities. With that being said, this week Ian and I are hitting the road to run the Long Haul for the Hot Rod Power Tour. This will be my twelfth Long Haul, and Ians third. We will head to Atlanta, Georgia for the kick off, then on to Columbia, South Carolina. From there we head to Rockingham, North Carolina. After a day of festivities there, we will go on to zMax Dragway in Concorde, North Carolina. Perhaps a bit of drag racing? After that we will go on to the final stop in Bristol, Tennessee to spend the day at Bristol Motor Speedway. How's that for getting out there to spread the gospel of MCACN! While the "Dump Truck" Hornet will not be our ride this year due to many unforeseen circumstances, we will be in Ian's AMG Twin-Turbo Mercedes, so we will be travelling in style. And to make sure you can find us, look for the two Vintage Muscle Bikes strapped onto the roof!

We did this two years ago as our "Plan B" and it was very well received and a whole lot of fun. Just like at MCACN's Muscle Bike "Show Within the Show" Sponsored by Koolestuff, we heard plenty of stories about Sting-Rays, Krates, Spyders and Choppers!

GILMORE MCACN MEET-UP II; YOU are Invited, June 24! Last year we joined forces with the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan to host our first MCACN Muscle Car Meetup. It was a HUGE success and a whole lot of fun. Kind of like a MCACN show outdoors! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and we had over 500 cars in attendance. We have a very special area for past and future MCACN participants. If you would like to be a part of this special display area, please consider this a personal invitation. The event is a fund raiser for the upcoming Muscle Car specific building at the Gilmore Car Museum, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the building fund. Cost to enter your car is just $20 and it includes all day admission to the museum for you and everyone in your car that arrives with you. The Gilmore Car Museum is worth the trip alone, so adding our MCACN Muscle Car Meetup just gives you another reason to join us. As always, we are looking for the best of the best and the rarest of the rare for the MCACN display area. But not to worry...if your car is just kinda cool and fun, you are welcome to join us for the general show area. Add in Live Music, some swappers, some very special "Pick" awards (no formal Judging to keep things fun and stress free!) and several seminars too.
