Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags Returns to Mid Michigan Motorplex

If you are reading this, you know we attend a lot of events, nationwide. That is how I connect with so many of you, and how we find all the awesome cars and people that join us! This weekend I am heading to one that I look forward to every year; the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races.

This event epitomizes several things. First and foremost, it is about having fun. Second, it shows that some folks enjoy actually using their vintage Muscle Machines for exactly what they were originally intended for. Gear slamming, smokey burnouts and people sharing tools, tips and the occasional friendly rivalry. Dan and Dennis Jensen along with Lyndon Hughes do an outstanding job of making things run smoothly, and the action is non-stop. Being able to be up close and personal makes it even better.

One of the coolest things about the PSMCDR is the many families that participate. Of course, the Straub Family will be tearing up the track with Adrianna, Carolyn and Caroline each piloting different cars. The Studebaker contingency always comes on strong and surprises a lot of people. We always look forward to seeing what the Kryta brothers are up to and you can bet that Norm VerHage will be there with one of his prime Mopars. And that is just a sampling...

Again this year Donny Brass is coordinating a stellar display at MCACN featuring actual cars that are racing this weekend and in the past. He invites fresh cars every year, making this display different, and it is always a lot of fun. The diversity of the group is amazing and the quality of the cars (and owners!) makes it even better. This is always a must see part of the MCACN show, and we want to thank Donny and all of the owners who join us.
