Hitting the Hot Rod Power Tour to Spread the Word!
Chances are while you are reading this, we are out spreading the word about the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, November 23-24. We will be hitting FIVE cities and a whole lot more in between. With literally thousands of cars and spectators, this is one of the best ways for us to introduce what we do and to also catch up with a lot of Friends of MCACN!
Day 1 takes us to Bowling Green, Kentucky, the home of the fantastic Corvette Museum and MCACN Official Sponsor NCM Insurance. Of course we will be catching up with NCM's Adam Boca! From there, we will head to Lebanon, Tennessee, the home of the Nashville Superspeedway. By this time we will be cruisin with literally thousands of like minded enthusiasts. We will then head over to Louisville to the huge L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. Of course, by this time we will have handed out hundreds of stickers, postcards, flyers, magnets and for those in the know, some MCACN hats and shirts! We want to hear your MCACN stories and if you are on the Power Tour and driving the car you will be showing, like Denise Clumpner with her '69 GTO that will be in our High School Reunion special display (featured above) , we want to photograph your car. Heading out of Louisville we hit National Trail Raceway, home of the Mopar Nationals near Columbus, Ohio, where we will most likely make a few passes in the AMG down the strip. Friday brings us to another legendary dragstrip, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Auto-Crossing and more drag racing means more fun.
While the "Dumptruck" Hornet is still being revived and not quite ready for the road, we will be easy to spot. Look for us in Ians' matte grey AMG Mercedes with the two crazy custom bicycles strapped to the roof. We think the Power Tour, much like MCACN is all about sharing stories, and these bicycles represent a chapter in our life when we hit the ISCA car show circuit hot and heavy. In fact, did you know that in the 1997-98 season Ian was an ISCA Champion at age 14, and was honored at Eastern Division Championship Finale, which, coincidentally was also in Louisville? Now that's some great memories!
As mentioned last week, we have some neat stuff for the Power Tour planned for anyone reading this that is willing to help. We know that word of mouth is the absolute best advertising we can get. So, each day of the Power Tour we will give away FIVE MCACN hats to the first people that chase me down and take a handful of Tri-Folds, Postcards and/or magnets to hand out. These are great conversation starters at the hotel parking lots at night too! As you know, I can (and often do!) bla-bla-bla about the MCACN show. I know that your word goes further than mine, and I'm not afraid of asking for your help! Please help us spread the word....

GILMORE MUSCLE CAR MEETUP, Presented by MCACN, Saturday June 22
Yep...it is that time again and as soon as we get back, we will pack the trailer and prepare for the 3rd Annual Gilmore Muscle Car Meetup, Presented by MCACN, Saturday June 22.
