The Class of 1969, Presented by NCM Insurance
1969 was a memorable year for many reasons. Some may be things we would like to forget, but if you are a car enthusiast, '69 is a year to remember. For the MCACN team, it is a year to be celebrated and that is exactly what we plan on doing this year when we return to the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, November 23-24.
The Class of 1969 Invitational, Presented by NCM Insurance. Of course, those who know us look forward to our Anniversary displays. As time marches on, the years we commemorate always change, and this year '69 is one of the years to take the spotlight. There will be several displays that highlight '69 (and 69.5!) model year cars. Our Class of 1969 Invitational will feature a variety of makes and models. While there were only a few "new" models, like the Judge and Trans Am and the A12 440-6 Roadrunners and Super Bees, there was a lot going on worth celebrating. And because of that, we will actually have additional displays specifically devoted to the '69-71 Judges, '68-'69 Buick G.S.'s and the 69.5 A12 cars. More on those later!
Among the highlights for our Class of 1969 are some truly notable Chevelles, Camaros and Firebirds, some prime Mopars, gorgeous Oldsmobiles and of course Shelbys and Mustangs. And speaking of Mustangs, we will have yet another special display coordinated by Bob Perkins, Rick Campbell and Scott Skalitsky featuring '69-73 Mach I's!
Whew...we sure do have a lot going on this year! So, if you own a prime example of 1969 American Muscle, we would love to have you join us. We have a few more openings for the Class of 1969 display and especially hope to see some of the unexpected hot ones including Grand Prix's, AMX's and Javelins, maybe some M-code Darts and Barracudas and well...you get the picture!

Muscle Car Meetup, Presented by MCACN: Thanks to all who joined us last week at the Gilmore Car Museum. It was a great day and we played host to several hundred prime examples of American Muscle and more with over 100 cars that have been previously shown with us at MCACN. Thanks to all who helped us out too; we couldn't do it without you!

CAR ENTRY: Several areas are already full including our Barn Finds & Hidden Gems and our "Red Carpet" GTO Invitational. We have "standby" lists in case we get cancellations for these. If you have a vehicle you'd like to show with us this year, whether it fits one of our special displays or not, please send pictures to bashton426@gmail.com and information for consideration. Priority is always given to rarely or never before shown cars. We are committed to presenting a new and fresh show each and every year! Let us know what you have and remember, many judging classes fill well in advance, but cars can also be entered Non Judged/Pick Eligible as we present over 100 "Pick" awards. If it is cool, has too much horsepower, is real and especially unusual, please consider joining us. Also, if you are under 25, have a cool car, (even if it isn't "mint") we'd be honored to have you join us. We are again working on our Future Generation display and panel discussion and this is one area that can never be "too full". YES....the future looks bright for our hobby, and we plan on doing whatever we can to make sure we welcome our younger enthusiasts!

We are prepping for the awesome Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, July 12-14 where we will join the Carlisle Events team to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. Congrats! These folks do a fine job at all of their events and we always have a great time. For all the info go to carlisleevents.com.
After that we head over to Belvidere, Illinois to join the Chicagoland Mopar Connection crew for their Mopar Happening, July 20-21. Saturday the Modern Muscle takes the stage while Sunday is the "big" day with a wide variety of Mopars of all generations. They also have a swap meet and indoor displays. We will be inside in our usual spot and we will have some of our past event T-shirts and our Auto World MCACN Official Event cars along with a few copies of our In Search of the WINGED Holy Grail books.
