CMCC TO HOST 33RD ANNUAL MOPAR HAPPENING
We hit a lot of shows throughout the year to spread the word about what we do at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. One that we never miss is the Chicagoland Mopar Connection Belvidere Mopar Happening. We are honored to have quite a few of the club members on our MCACN staff and our Judging team, and they are the best. This event is led by Diane and Roger Schmeling, (Roger coordinates our Mopar Alley and judges and Diane works directly with Vicki), they do a great job. Located at the Boone County Fairgrounds, there is lots of nice grass, some great food vendors, a wide variety of cars and trucks and a swap meet. Saturday spotlights the Modern Muscle and also Dodge Chargers of all eras, while Sunday you'll find darn near everything that is Mopar related. We always find some truly unexpected treasures at this show, and as always we will be looking for prime examples of American Muscle for the MCACN show. I am hoping to extend the invitation to several more owners of '69's and of course 69.5 A12's and how about a few '74's? As always, looking for the best of the best and especially vehicles that are rarely (if ever!) shown. And if it is unusual, let's talk.
We will be set up in our usual spot inside, right across from MCACN Official Sponsor Magnum Auto Restorations. Mark Sekula, owner of Magnum has A LOT going on for MCACN this year, including the Premier Unveiling of the "Hurricane" Superbird.
We will be bringing along a variety of past event MCACN T-shirts, some of the Superbird and Mustang Mach 1 1/64th scale Official Event Cars and once again, offering up our $10.00 each or 3/$25 super specials! Get there early for the best selection. We have T-shirts in sizes Small, Medium, Large, 2xl, 3xl and even a couple more 4xl and 5xl. Sorry; no more XL's! We will also be bringing a few of the In Search of the WINGED Holy Grail books, and when they are gone they're gone!
HOTEL UPDATE: As you know, we work very hard to secure great rates and extra perks for our participants and our spectators. We have SEVEN Authorized Official Host Hotels with rates starting at just $124.00 per night at the Crowne Plaza right across the street from the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (SUBURBAN Chicago), Illinois. The Embassy Suites is sold out, but there is availability at the six others, but don't wait, book your rooms now.
OUTSIDE HOTEL SOLICITATION: Please BEWARE! Again we have been advised that there are people portraying themselves as representatives for MCACN advertising hotels. THESE ARE SCAMS and not in any way, shape or form affiliated with us. Our authorized Official Host Hotels are listed on our website and there are direct booking links. If you get a call or an email soliciting MCACN hotel rooms or saying they have our "mailing list" they are 100% fake and are scams! DELETE and BLOCK them right away.
VENDOR SPACE: We have a few more vendor spots available for automotive ONLY vendors. If you are the best of the best, please consider joining us. If you aren't automotive, please don't waste our time as we strictly prohibit home improvements, pull-up challenges, travel related business or anything like that.
