Heading to Carlisle This Week!
This is a very special year for the Carlisle Events team, as they are celebrating an impressive 50 years of presenting some of the absolute best outdoor car events. What started as a couple car guys seeing an opportunity has blossomed into a full schedule with specialty events for not only General Motors, Ford and Mopar, but also several HUGE all makes swap meets along with events geared to Imports and Trucks. Carlisle Events is also an Official Sponsor of the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, and they present several coveted awards at our show. I often say we are honored to work with the best in the industry when it comes to Official Sponsors and that is exactly what the Carlisle Events team is. So, this week we head out to Carlisle, Pennsylvania to participate in the big Chrysler Nationals. With about 3,000 cars, a huge swap meet, an impressive midway and all kinds of other fun stuff, we look forward to this one every year. And of course, the vast selection of food choices makes it even better.
Every year we hit the grounds early searching for cars to invite to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, November 23-24. And with this being one of the stops for the 55th Anniversary A12 Reunion, I can't wait to see what shows up for that. There are always some unexpected (and unknown) cars and you know how much we love that sort of thing. I don't get a booth, as there is so much territory to cover, it works best for me to be "mobile". Chicagoland Mopar show and swap next week. This is another that we really enjoy, as a lot of the Chicagoland Mopar Connection members are also members of the MCACN staff and judging team. Saturday highlights the later models and Sunday the Boone County Fairgrounds will fill up with cars and trucks from every generation. We will have our usual display inside, so please plan on stopping by to see us. We will be running our past event and MCACN Official Event Car Super Specials, so get there early! The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world's largest all-indoor specialty show devoted to the finest and rarest examples of American Muscle and the finest Corvettes. We fill nearly 400,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (SUBURBAN Chicago) Illinois, just minutes from the Chicago O'Hare Airport.
