The Brothers Collection 1st Annual Cruise-in SUNDAY
An often asked question I get is How can I get in to see The Brothers Collection? Well...now you have the chance, and believe me, it is well worth the effort. This Sunday, August 17, The Brothers Collection will host their very first open to the public event with not only full access to the museum, but also a Cruise-In with awards, food trucks and even a special appearance from Courtney Hansen, all day!
Located in Salem, Oregon outside of Portland, I recommend you drive, fly or walk to this one, as it is a rare opportunity to get inside and see what I can assure you, will blow you away. Yes, it is true that they literally have rows of very real and absolute best of the best Shelby's, Hemi Cars, (including the largest collection of Hemi E-Body convertibles in the world), Corvettes from 1953 on up and then there are the Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis and of course, some motorcycles, some boats, Muscle Bicycles and well....you get the idea. Hopefully you saw our "Virtual" MCACN show on YouTube from 2020, and if you haven't, it is a great glimpse behind the scenes of just some of what you will see. I will be out there all day, and Courtney will be too! In fact, I know there are some other car related people you will recognize that you will get the chance to hang out with too.
We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our first ever Brothers Collection Cruise-In. This is an event you won't want to miss! There will be celebrity judges, all day raffles, local car-related vendors, great food trucks, and so much more. This event also includes admission to the Brothers Collection museum.
"It is our mission to provide seniors with an affordable home that allows them to age in place with dignity. We have created plans for a community of small, safe, affordable cottages that are tastefully designed and supported by the surrounding Swegle community.
The United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony for our first 10 cottages on May 30, 2024, with phases 2 & 3 being “shovel ready” once funding is secured. Phase 1 cottage vacancy is currently filled with its first tenants arriving June of 2024!"

WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE: OK, so it is true that this huge event takes place within miles of where I live. For sheer volume, there is no doubt that there is a lot to see and do. If you have a car (that is not a clapped out mini truck) and are attending, that's great. If you are coming from out of state, be ready for the worst roads, the most construction and especially if you are towing a trailer or driving your special car, bring your floor jack, extra spare tires and
be prepared. I can not stress enough the simple fact that the surrounding roads, especially I-75 continue to be a complete disaster. I drive tens of thousands of miles every year in multiple states and Michigan takes the award for the absolute worst.
