Pontiacs and a Whole Lot More This Weekend!

Cruisin Tigers Indian Uprising
August 6-8, 2021

As many of you know, we hit a lot of events to promote the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. This week, we head to the new home of the Cruisin' Tigers Indian Uprising in Crystal Lake, Illinois, close to the home of MCACN in Rosemont. We have missed this one the past several events, as we were at the Mopar Nationals in Ohio, but this year the dates have changed allowing us to hit both events. While the Indian Uprising is all Pontiac on Sunday, Friday and Saturday offer events for everyone, regardless of what make or model you own. In fact, the big open Cruise In Saturday is geared up to host as many as 1,000 cars! Friday night things kick off with a parking lot party, a live band and a movie outside under the stars. These folks do a great job of hosting an event that is fun for the whole family with all kinds of fun stuff in addition to the great cars. Here is a quote from their website: The Indian Uprising All Pontiac Weekend has continued to grow by leaps and bounds each year. In fact, it is now considered to be one of the largest and highest quality shows in the Pontiac end of the automobile hobby drawing over 600 Pontiacs annually with thousands of spectators. Over the life span of the event (28 years), The Cruisin’ Tigers have donated proceeds totaling far more than $100,000 to local children’s charities. For more information, including location, and the schedule of events, click here:

We will be set up right at the main entrance to the Holiday Inn, so c'mon by to hear what we have in store for you at MCACN this year. To say the excitement level is at an all time high is an understatement. We have already filled nearly every part of the show. If you are interested in joining us but have not officially registered, send an email to bashton426@gmail.com to see if we can accommodate you, whether as a car owner or a vendor. We do have limited Commercial B vendor space and spots for our Car Corral and our VIP Car For Sale area, but don't hesitate!

And speaking of talking...I have been asked by the Cruisin' Tigers team to do a "seminar" on Saturday at 1:00. While I'm not a seminar kind of guy, you all know I love to talk about MCACN, and we sure have a lot to talk about this year! With that being said, I have called on my good friend Matt Avery of Mecum Auctions to serve as my Host/Moderator, and since we go back quite a few years, I am confident that he can keep me in line and throw out some fun discussion points. This will be a casual, and hopefully fun discussion. If you ever wondered how MCACN came to be, who we are and what we have planned for the future, please join us. This will take place in one of the meeting rooms inside the Holiday Inn Crystal Lake Official Host Hotel Oh...and I will be giving away something super neat to one lucky person who makes it to the end of the seminar! This is a Limited Edition (1 of 500) framed and triple matted Print by David Snyder titled "Car Tunes". This beautiful print With a value exceeding $300.00 is a must have, and it may be worth listening to me for 45 minutes or so for a chance to take it home! lol

MOPAR NATIONALS: As you all know, I'm kind of a Mopar guy. While I truly love and appreciate ALL makes and models of American Muscle, my Father was a VP at Chrysler and that is where it all started for me. Dad had some great Muscle Cars as company cars, including two Roadrunner convertibles, several GTX's, a Dart GTS convertible and, well...you get the idea! Anyway, next week we head to National Trail Raceway outside of Columbus, Ohio for The Nationals. We'll have our usual BIG display in the midway packed with Mopar Memorabilia and as always, we will also be hosting the Mopar Nationals Model Car Contest Saturday. And speaking of the Model Car Contest, this year entry is TOTALLY FREE, Sponsored by MCACN! Bring one model or a whole table full! More on the Mopar Nats next week.

Hope we see you at one or both of these great events. Safe Travels, be nice and GET OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN!
