Chicagoland Mopar Connection Show and Swap This Weekend
We truly appreciate the continued support we get from the many members of the Chicagoland Mopar Connection. This is a group of several different club chapters, and this weekend they are hosting the 29th Annual Belvidere Happening Mopar show and swap. We always look forward to this one, as we have seen over 500 cars, and there are always some unexpected surprises. We have CMC Members on our staff and several of our Judges are also CMC members. These folks love their Mopars....and so do we!
Several years ago they made this a true two-day event. For Saturday, the main focus is on the Modern Mopars and also the Midwest Charger group presents their own "Show within the Show". The swap meet kicks into gear and the cars start rolling in. Sunday is the BIG day, combining these features with just about everything else that is Mopar related. I always find some prime cars to invite to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, and it is great catching up with old friends and making new ones.
We will have a display inside and will be bringing a very limited supply of past event MCACN T-shirts. Don't wait, as these were so hot, we sold out at MCACN and had to order more! The real hot ones are the Steven Juliano RTS shirts and of course, our "famous" tie-dyes. We don't have all the sizes, but I know we have some 2XL's and 3XL's, along with smalls and mediums. If we have any larges or XL's, there aren't many, so snag 'em while you can!
Speaking of MCACN memorabilia, we have a few of the 10th Anniversary Johnny Lightning commemorative cars, which is Charles Lingenfelters 1969 black over red W31 Olds. They nailed it and with the special MCACN packaging, it is a must have for your collection. A mere 761 were produced. They are 9.99 + shipping, or pick yours up in Belvidere. And speaking of our friends at Auto World and Johnny Lightning; We will have a HUGE and exciting announcement real soon. I'll give you a hint; Think 50th Anniversary! Stay tuned...
Pictures of YOUR Car; This is another call out for GOOD pictures of your 2019 MCACN car entry. It is really amazing how many of our entries come in with, well...lousy pictures. I am working on our new MCACN 80 page magazine and if your pictures suck, you won't see it in there. GOOD pictures generally are shot outdoors with no junk, poles or other distractions in the background, with hoods, doors and deck closed and showing the entire car.
