Carlisle Events Celebrates 40 Years;
Corvettes at Carlisle THIS WEEK
For any event to last 40 years really says something. Many have come and gone, but for the Carlisle Events team, they continue to thrive. With a full schedule of events, it seems like each one gets better and bigger every year. This year, the Carlisle Events team is celebrating the 40th year of producing what has become the largest all Corvette event in the world. With literally thousands of Corvettes of every generation, row after row of vendors, an impressive midway and some awesome special displays, it is a must do for not only Corvette fans but for anyone into cars. This is the week for all the fun, with the event running from August 25-27.
Here is a quote from their website: Corvettes at Carlisle is the largest and most fun-filled Corvette event in the world. The annual Corvettes at Carlisle event features thousands of Corvettes representing all generations of America’s classic sports car. Now that may be an understatement! As most of you know, the Carlisle Fairgrounds are the perfect spot to accommodate the cars and the swap, along with the special displays and the Car Corral. Throw in some seminars, a variety of features for the kids and the ladies, an autocross, special guest appearances and so much more. This is what our hobby is all about. Sharing memories and making new memories is what makes our hobby and all of the Carlisle events so much fun, and with all the excitement surrounding not only the new Corvettes but also every other generation, and you have a recipe for a great week, whether you are showing or viewing.

Car Entry: While many of our classes and special displays are already full and we are fast approaching sold out for Concours judging, we do have some openings. To "Pre-Qualify" your car, email pictures and information to bashton426@gmail.com. If you have a prime example of American Muscle or a "best of the best" Corvette, we'd love to have you join us! A few cars we are hoping to find: a Monza Mirage, more Big Body, 4-speed cars, An Acadian or other Canada specific muscle cars, Performance Station Wagons, 1972 Demon 340's and Duster 340's, '72 Olds "X-code" 442's and how about some more REAL Mr. Norm's cars? Let us know what you would like to show. We also have an opening for at least one more for our Pinnacle class, reserved for the absolute best restored to factory O.E.M. spec General Motors cars.

LIVE Music at MCACN: I am pleased to announce that Redline 7000, featuring John Kraman, will be playing Saturday night at MCACN. They put on a great show! Sunday we have Detroit's own Carmel Liburdi playing before the awards presentation, so please plan on wearing your dancing shoes!
