NEW "PICK-A -DOOR" INVITATIONAL;
ANOTHER UNEXPECTED MCACN TREAT!
There are a couple things about the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show that you can always count on. First and foremost is the simple fact that we present a fresh and exciting show every year. While we will always play host to a myriad of prime Shelby's, Hemi Cars, Camaros, GTO's, G.S.'s and so many more prime examples of American Muscle, (sometimes entire rows of them!), we also love to host what you may never expect to see.
This year we will host something entirely different that may even make you scratch your head. Our new Pick-A-Door Invitational will feature 4-door high performance cars. Not just any 4-doors, but cars that have extra doors and extra horsepower under the hood! Take for instance the above Bonneville. Not only does it pack a 428 under the hood, it also is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Now that is unexpected! Restored to perfection, this true rarity joins us from Connecticut from the Michael & Paul John Ferri Collection. Of course, those of you who recognize the name know that these guys have only the best of the best, For years now they have shown their support of MCACN by joining us with some truly stellar cars. Thanks Guys!
So in addition to this beauty, you will see 426 Hemi Mopars, Chevy's packing 427's under the hood, a Buick unlike any other and, well...you get the idea. Maybe they were ordered to pull a camper or maybe the owner had to find a way to keep their spouse happy while still packing extra Muscle. You know there are going to be some great stories and I can't wait to have the owners share them with us, Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (SUBURBAN Chicago area), Illinois. This is another example of what makes the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals a show unlike any other; Unique and unexpected cars, truly outstanding owners and the opportunity to "rub elbows" with people that have the same passion and enthusiasm as we do. HOTEL UPDATE: Speaking of hotels, as you know we work very hard to make sure all of our participants and spectators get great rooms, great rates and are in the middle of all the action. VENDORS at MCACN: Returning vendor rates and renewal ends April 15, so if you are a past vendor and haven't renewed already, do it now! After 4-15, we "open the floor" for new vendors. At this point we may be sold out for Commercial "A" and renewals are coming in hot. Remember; we DO NOT ALLOW head-set hawkers, pull-up challenges, home improvement, chiropractors or other non automotive related vendors. We are a CAR SHOW and have no need or desire to host these types of businesses, so please don't waste our time. I mean seriously...do you want to talk about your siding or gutters at the MCACN show?
Pick-A-Door Invitational-- David Stuart --1968 Oldsmobile
We put the call out for a few specific cars last week that we want to add to the mix and received excellent responses. So with that being said, let's do it again. We would like to see more High Performance 4-doors, perhaps even some Performance Station Wagons, more Mercury's, some 1966 426 Hemi powered Mopar's for our Class of 1966 along with some '66 General Motors A-Bodies and how about some more AMC's? If you own a prime example of American Muscle of any make that is rarely (or never!) shown or perhaps a fresh find or restoration, we'd love to see it.
